About

Tack is a private, offline-first library for saving everything you want to come back to later. Links, articles, images, videos, audio, PDFs, QR codes, voice memos — capture it from anywhere, then read or listen distraction-free. No accounts, no ads, no tracking. Everything stays on your device. SAVE FROM ANYWHERE Share links, images, videos, files, and text directly to Tack from any app via the share sheet. Scan QR codes and barcodes to instantly capture links and codes. Record quick voice memos with pause and resume. READ WITHOUT DISTRACTIONS Tack's reader mode strips away the clutter, with adjustable typography, a choice of themes including true dark mode, and text-to-speech so you can listen to any saved article. Highlight text in color, then export your highlights and notes as Markdown. ORGANIZE YOUR WAY Nested collections, color-coded tags, and a powerful two-axis filter keep your library tidy. A dashboard surfaces what to read next, your reading streak, and your recent saves, while universal search finds anything across items, collections, and tags. LET AI DO THE FILING On supported devices, Tack uses on-device intelligence to write a clean title, suggest tags from your existing vocabulary, and summarize long reads — entirely on your device. Nothing is sent to a server. YOUR DATA, YOUR DEVICE Everything is stored locally. Tack makes no network requests except when you save a link, when it fetches that page's content. No servers, no accounts, no ads. IMPORT & EXPORT Import from Pocket, Raindrop, Chrome, Instapaper, Pinboard, and more. Export your library as Tack JSON (full backup), CSV, or Netscape HTML.

What's New in Tack

1.0.1

September 26, 2026

NEW • On-device AI. On supported devices, Tack can write a clean title, suggest tags from your existing vocabulary, and summarize long reads, all on your device. Nothing is sent to a server. Choose which actions run, per item or across your library. • Archive. Archive items instead of deleting them. Archived items stay reachable and can be restored at any time. • Tag colors. Give each tag a color and see it throughout your library. • Notes. Share a note as text, or copy it to the clipboard. IMPROVED • Better dark-mode legibility in the note editor, and correct right-to-left handling. • More reliable link saving, with clearer messages when a page can't be fetched.
