Not good
Haven’t had a firmware update since 2022!!! Pull it out for this season2025 and takes video but when go into app says the video is unavailable!!! Can’t download or do anything with it!!!

No live preview, just a black screen. Nonstop connection errors which cause my camera to freeze and have to remove the battery to get it unfroze. Thought I’d try this app because the Tactacam Wifi app won’t delete videos. A person absolutely should not need two apps to control one camera but with Tactacam you do. smh UPDATE: Tactacam has had over a year to fix this junk worthless app. They either don’t care to or they don’t know how. Probably both. Stay away from their junk products and even worse apps! Another update more than another year later and they STILL HAVE NOT fixed this! Maybe they’re too dumb to.

I can’t believe Tactacam would damage their reputation for such a bad product. Stick to trail cameras. This shot cam is an absolute piece of garbage. I can’t believe you would put your logo on this junk.
Terrible, poorly thought out
Camera shuts off at random. Video will say unavailable if you go to access it in your library. If you delete it and try to download again, it will act as if it’s still in your library and say unavailable. Shot a big deer and now have zero access to the footage. Also don’t know if this was on them or the way Apple works, but it was deleted from my library and group conversation suddenly.

Not compatible with iPhone 14 or newer
I have been back and forth with Tactacam POV customer service. Finally they decided it was my phone model and apologized for the cameras inability to connect to newer devices. Save yourselves the time and money. Use a different product.

Will not connect
My Solo Extreme will not connect to this app but it connects to the Tactacam WiFi app.

Tactacam app will not connect to the tactacam solo extreme. It pops up the connecting screen but never connects.
Poor service
False Advertising, the 6.0 doesn’t connect to 14 max plus . Company knows of this is for a year now! They do not care to fix or let people know of this issue! Would not have wasted my money if I known, they suggested me get a different phone , can’t when under a contract, also to take lap top with me hunting ! Unreal!!!

Solo extreme will not connect
I tried everything on troubleshooting and still don't work. Latest iOS iPhone 14, Solo Extreme. old app still working but not at 100%
6.0 issues
App will not connect phone to camera but the old Tactacam app does. Makes no sense.
Cam won’t load to app
Phone connects to camera but app won’t connect to cam. I tried several times and watched video.

The App is very disappointing. The app will not connect to my solo Hunter or my 5.0. Bought them earlier this year before Turkey season only to discover they wouldn’t connect. Figured the app would be fixed by the time bow season came around. That is in 6 days, so highly doubtful.
App won’t connect
The 6.0 won’t connect to the Connect app on my iOS 16.6. It appears the team still doesn’t have the app fixed. Hangs up at the ‘connecting’ step and won’t do anything. The camera does work for recording videos, but watching them on the tiny screen is almost impossible.
Can’t Connect My $300 Camera
I bought the Tactacam 6.0 and when I try to connect the camera to this app, the little wheel that says “Connecting” spins and spins, but it never connects. Really hurts to know that I can’t customize any of the settings on a camera I just spent a hard day’s worth of work on.
Tactacam Connect APP
Disappointed to hear that there is a problem with the app connecting to the TACTACAM Ultra HD 6.0 Camera. And per their support team they are not sure when the update to app will be available but at least they are working on it.
Black screen of death
Solo extreme connects to the app, the app can’t see the battery, and when you click control it looks up the Camaro and gives a black screen on the app and locks up the app.
No way to control the camera or use it unless you use Tactacam WiFi app and don’t want to use all the functions of the camera.

The app isn’t what it is to be first off! Yea I can connect to the cam but when I click control it shows a black screen that’s it I can’t do anything with it at all it’s a waste of my time
Tactacam solo xtreme
This app does not work at all. Called customer service and said they are working on the problem. They have no idea how long before the app will work. I can use the Tactacam wifi app only to watch the videos, nothing else.
