Finally stuck with tracking my spending

I've tried a bunch of expense apps and always gave up after a week. Tael is the first one that actually stuck. The automations do most of the work, so logging stuff doesn't feel like a chore anymore. Checking my spending is just part of my routine now

the money tracker that doesn’t track you!!

I absolutely love this app not only for how it immediately tracks my purchases, but also for how it categorizes the vendors and budgets. Love the privacy feature around, not tracking your spending data which I feel is so unique in the market. Truly recommend this app to anybody that wants to track their money.

Simple and seamless expense tracking

Really loving this app! I tried using Shortcuts to manage my spending, but the experience was far from seamless. Tael removes the headaches and makes tracking expenses simple. I also love the one time payment option because subscription fatigue is real

Keep tracks of all my spending with one app

This is a really good app to use and it is very convenient! I don’t need to manually add my spendings because it automatically records them all. Easy to use and recommend for all.

FAQ

How does Tael automatically log expenses?

Tael integrates with Apple Pay to automatically log transactions as they occur. For users in Hong Kong, it also supports Octopus payments for seamless tracking of transit and retail purchases.

Can I track expenses for specific events or projects with Tael?

Yes, Tael allows you to create custom 'dimensions' or categories for your spending, such as 'Japan Trip' or 'Kitchen Renovation'. This enables you to see the total cost of specific events or projects, even if a single purchase contributes to multiple categories.

Does Tael require a bank login or account setup?

No, Tael does not require any bank logins or initial account setup. It focuses on logging transactions directly from payment methods like Apple Pay, making it quick to start tracking your spending.

How does Tael handle recurring expenses or merchants?

Tael learns from your input and suggests 'rules' for merchants. Once you label a shop once, future charges from that merchant can be automatically categorized, streamlining the logging process.

Is Tael secure and private?

Yes, Tael is designed for privacy. Your transaction data, merchants, amounts, and rules never leave your iPhone. Backups are optional and go to your own iCloud, and no cloud model reads your ledger.

What are the pricing options for Tael?

What devices and iOS versions does Tael support?

Tael requires an iPhone and iOS 18.4 or later. Automatic logging features depend on Apple Wallet and Shortcuts integration.
