LPR Bluetooth connection issues
Have had the LPR from Allflex for a couple weeks now and have yet to get it to connect to TagMax but connects to the Allflex Connect app easily. No real help from Cattlemax/Tagmax to resolve the issue. Seems to be a TagMax app issue since the LPR reader connects to Allflex connect app every time. Allflex tech help seems to agree. I’ve spent hours on tech help chat with tagmax with no resolution. Every time I contact them they ask me the same questions about how I’m attempting to connect. Very disappointing experience so far. TagMax seems to have no desire to pursue helping me with this issue or determining the root cause. I work with computers and iPhone/ipad apps and Bluetooth devices every day in my profession. Don’t sign up for the annual Cattlemax plan if you want to use RFID tags and tag readers until you’re sure you can actually use your reader with tagmax. LPR reader purchased new from Valley Vet and firmware up to date.

Can’t seem to get cattlemax to work on the app. Only reason why I downloaded it
Works but could be better
The Cattletags app has potential for simple onsite integration of RFID systems. Our major complaint is only two additional data fields (visual ID and weight) are available. If the developers could add additional fields to include Sex, Breed (or Type), Vaccinations, and Notes this would allow the Cowboys onsite to keep better records to report to management or update Cattlemax records when cellular or WiFi is available. We processed 100 new tags/cattle with our trial run of this app and would have appreciated having additional fields. We processes over 3000head a year of new tags/animals and this app would be a great assets with the recommended improvements.
