What's New in TailSpotter
1.2.0
August 10, 2026
Videos now play right in the feed. Tap one to pause it, or open it full screen — landscape clips turn sideways to fill the display. Tapping a photo now zooms it open, instead of sliding a panel up from the bottom. Nearby traffic is working again. Our live aircraft data source went dark; we've moved to a new one. Also in this release: • Picking from your library takes you straight to the next step, and shows you when a video is still being prepared • Tap the TailSpotter wordmark, or the Feed tab, to jump back to the top of your feed • Smoother scrolling, especially through photo-heavy feeds • Accounts without a profile picture now show their initials instead of a grey silhouette • Photos no longer get cropped at the edges when you open a post • Photos taken in portrait no longer appear sideways • Rounder, better-spaced photo grids on profiles • Fixed several taps that did nothing: opening a spot or profile from search, and comments, editing and plane details from the feed
