About

Learn and play 16-tile Taiwanese mahjong against three computer-controlled opponents, then practice the skills that decide a hand. Choose a quick preset or tune the table to match your house rules. Adjust base points, points per tai, dealer bonuses, draw payments, the dead wall, pao liability, and multiple-winner behavior. Features: - Complete offline single-player play - Traditional Chinese and English - Multiple computer strategies and difficulty levels - Configurable Taiwanese house rules - Clear scoring breakdowns after every hand - Practice: timed drills on reading your waits, spotting scoring patterns and counting how far a hand is from ready - A twelve-chapter beginner's guide with practice questions - Match statistics and achievements stored on your device - Optional computer table talk using bundled responses - No accounts, ads, tracking, wagering, or prizes Free to play: the one-round match (一圈戰) is free forever, with every rule, opponent, and scoring feature included, and so is the first tier of every drill. A single one-time purchase unlocks the full four-round match (全將) and every higher drill tier. There is no subscription and nothing else is sold. Taiwanese mahjong rules vary by region and household. The rules selected on the setup screen govern each match.

What's New in Taiwanese Mahjong

1.0.5

October 19, 2026

Fixes a crash that stopped the app from opening on iOS 27. Scoring: a triplet completed with another player's discard now counts as exposed (明刻), so it no longer counts toward three, four or five concealed triplets (三暗刻, 四暗刻, 五暗刻), as at a Taiwanese table. A hand that can be read more than one way is now always scored at its best reading. Practice: the results card now fits on phones held sideways, and a hand won on a discard is labelled 放槍胡. The main-screen buttons now fit on smaller iPhones in English.
