Finally - a version for AppleTV. Deduct one star for taking so many years to do it. Deduct another star for lack of closed captions/subtitles. I know the programming is in English but those of us who are hard of hearing rely on closed captions. Check out NHK world app. Please keep trying.

Can’t use the app anymore
the app requires me to update the app to the latest version which requires iOS 16. My iPhone cannot be updated to iOS 16. Please help

Finally - Almost
I am updating my rating to one star based on the fact that the developer refuses to make an Apple TV app. I just returned from Taiwan where I spent a lot of time watching the Taiwan Plus channel on cable. How hard could it be to provide this convenience to viewers outside Taiwan who use Apple TV for streaming? I love NHK World and watch it frequently, but would prefer Taiwan Plus if it were as easy. Please take a few minutes and build the app!

Fabulous content, nice app
Just two requests: First, I repeatedly select a different city for the weather but it always defaults back to Taipei on the Home Screen – can this be fixed? Second, please make an Apple TV app as soon as possible!
User friendly platform with great unbiased content
Commenting as a proud Taiwanese living in the UK, this app has kept me up to date on national and local news in Taiwan 🇹🇼 I especially enjoy the video content which the hosts invite experts to speak about certain subjects

As much as I want to support and like Taiwan Plus, at times it feels like a government propoganda channel. And once in a while I think it’s okay to point out the shortcomings of the government. The coverage isn’t any better than FocusTaiwan and TaiwanNews.

Best English-speaking Taiwan News
There is an obvious lack of news coverage for Taiwan for English readers and listeners. As a Taiwanese American, I’ve found it difficult to be up to date on news from my homeland, but this is the best source I’ve found yet. Both informative and expansive. Keep up the great work!
Decent app, needs more work
I really enjoy the English content for those of us who want to learn Mandarin or consume Taiwanese content in English. However, the app definitely needs some QoL updates.
It’d be nice if videos were put into playlists, so if I’m done with episode 1, it’d let me go to episode 2 easily instead of showing me unrelated videos. Also I’d like to be able to save/bookmark videos.

Quality reporting on Taiwan
Most English reporting on Taiwan is China centric. The daily news broadcast on this app is excellent - it examines Taiwan from Taiwanese perspective. Anyone who wants to know what’s happening in Taiwan will watch this show
App not compatible wi5 chromecast, poor app support
The app, sadly, is not compatible with chromecast, which hampers the appeal of this app. Emails for app support is also blocked by the Taiwan Central News Agency server.

Awesome app
While the communist Chinese party(West Taiwan) continued to buy foreign news and intimate/ threatened independent news publishers across the democratic world with false narratives about the genocide and continued undermining of the foreign democracies and rampant IT theft. So greatful I can get the legitimate Chinese perspective (East Taiwan) on East Asian issues snd the continued threat of the CCP against Asia and the world
