Would love to see UI improvements!
The idea is great, but the app is kinda far from user friendly at this point. You can’t share games with your friends (though that would bring more people onto the app,) you can’t look up games by tournament, player, or year, and you can’t see the engine lines live from the app, you’re only shown the top three moves of each game. There are many ways to improve on making the chess more accessible, which is something that has made chess more popular in the first place, and would make the app more popular than it is now. There’s more YouTube feed and pictures of tournament winners than there is actual chess to follow. I mean, there is a tab where you can guess the winner of a game or the next move on certain games, but there’s no option to analyze board positions of random players. Also, the website only posts the video feed from the app, it doesn’t have the collection of games and standings from recent tournaments like the app does. Having David Howell on your YouTube channel only makes your YouTube channel better, it doesn’t make your app or website better. Please improve the UI, and please don’t ever make people pay for this. Access to modern chess should be free.

Really good App for following the Chess World.
Features for use
The video player works well, but I need the ability to play videos with the iOS MiniPlayer while using other apps or as background audio. Otherwise I’ll just be watching TTT on YouTube for those features
Desperately needed update
This app so desperately needs a sleep mode setting for notifications.
Chess players have a constantly shifting sleep schedule that chess fans do not. I love following players live with notifications but I do not like when they are competing at 3Am and I have work in the morning.

I follow this app to know news in the chess world. But I need to follow news on iPad too..
Loving games with annotation
The app allows you to know when your favorite players are playing and you can follow along with annotated moves which helps to understand the ideas being played out. This is definitely my favorite feature of the app. Though sometimes the annotators make typos or, like in the Pragg v Duda game in the Sinquefield cup, Duda suddenly became Abdusattorov!

Great app, still some flaws
‘Take Take Take’ is a great app, it really allows you to dive into parts of chess without visiting all sorts of websites. But the app can definitely be improved. For example, I think adding filters to the ‘Schedule’ page or search filters to the ‘Favorites’ page could really make the app more accessible.

Great idea Okay execution
The general concept for the app is awesome. It’s great to see an effort to provide access to current events in chess. Like ESPN meets Chess. Impressive work has been put in and it’s fun to go through games and hopefully learn a thing or two.
where the app falls short is with certain UI/UX decisions and overall direction.
-Don’t put tiktok or snapchat things on here, keep those for those respective platforms.
-The font is nice and unique but quite bold especially when trying to read game notes.
-trying to go through games is not easy and the board is either too small or too big.
too much noise in general. it’s tough to navigate the app. this app can be everything it’s trying to be eventually, but right now to start there should be more focus on the main purpose of the app which is to follow and recap current masters games.

Good Idea - Needs Refinement
I love the idea of a 433 style of app with chess with player ratings and different posts on the main feed for various kinds of events, updates, videos, and games. The UI design is very well done, albeit with minor bugs, and the theme is spot on.
The app takes a slight downturn when comes to accessibility and UX. Why can’t I individually search for players? Instead I have to either choose from a seemingly arbitrary picked list of “favorites” or scroll endlessly through the chess rankings to find my actual favorite players, (eg. Grischuk, Kramnik, Kasparov). There’a no profile system where you can link with friends, no flushed out settings system, and not a place to contact for support, bugs, etc.
Otherwise: really cool and interesting idea but still needs some refinement to be amazing to use

Technically when I view the board, all the pieces are mixed up, but I don’t know if it’s a mistake or not

this app is something that the chess world has been needing for quite a long time, a one stop shop to check all the recent games. That's basically what it does and it does it well.
But I'm hoping in the near future we will be able to move the pieces around and flip the board, just like we can do on chess.com or lichess.
Especially when following 960 games, it's not always clear why someone resigned or played a certain move -- we would like to analyze further.
If that's impossible for a design reason, please at least make it easy to export the PGN/FEN so we can analyze on another app.
But I'm hoping in the near future we will be able to move the pieces around and flip the board, just like we can do on chess.com or lichess.

It’s a great app but it make my phone go crazy
All in on, it’s a very great app. It gives all the stats on time. We have some videos dropping in here in the app. Everything is cool the guess the movie feature everything is great, but it takes a toll on your phone every time I use this app my phone seats and last time I use this app my phone got hand like crazy and it got shut down and I started it and I don’t know what bug or virus got into my phone my Wi-Fi and working at all I had to factory reset my phone. Even though I have a iPhone 13 Pro, it has it has been three almost 3 years, it never got hanged no problem whatsoever, but I use this app. It start giving me trouble, and I was watching that video of top rated players or something which dropped on particularly on the app

Straightforward & useful
Was pleasantly surprised at how excellent this app really is. Current and future tournaments easy to find and dive into; clear game interfaces with best move indicators (at user’s choice) and clear standings.
The only thing I could wish for is more players to favorite and direct links to live coverage on YouTube.

Used to be good
Now, it gets players mixed up, uses quotes to describe moves and not the actual move boxes, making it hard to follow, and the delay compared to live is insane
