About

You went somewhere good. A year later you cannot remember the name. TakeMeBack is a private keeper for the places worth going back to. Save a bar, a beach, a taco stand, a viewpoint. Group them by city. Open any one of them in Google Maps or Apple Maps with a tap. It is not a social network. There is no feed, no followers, and no profile. Your places live on your phone. SAVE A PLACE IN SECONDS Share a spot from Google Maps or Apple Maps straight into TakeMeBack. Paste a list from Notes. Import a screenshot and let the app read it. Or type a name and let the lookup fill in the address, the phone number and the hours. PLACES WITH NO ADDRESS Some of the best spots are a cove down a dirt track or a parking area in a field. Send yourself the coordinates and TakeMeBack saves the pin exactly as it is, no invented address, and opens it in any maps app. A CITY AT A TIME Every city gets its own page with a cover photo. Inside, two lists: the places you made it to, and the ones you want next time. Tick one off when you finally go. YOUR WORLD, ON A MAP A wooden wall map on the app's first screen with a pin for every city you have saved. Open it and it fills the screen. KEEP EVERY CRUISE The line, the ship and the year are enough to save a sailing. Add the ports day by day when you like: each one links to a city you already keep, so Cozumel is one page however many times you have been. The ship gets a page of its own for the bar and the cabin you would book again, and your totals add up: cruises, nights, ships and ports. Scan the itinerary with the camera or add the PDF the cruise line sent and every day fills itself in. More than 250 ships show their own photo on the cruise. EVERY BAR ON BOARD Open a ship's page and look her up: TakeMeBack lists the restaurants, bars and lounges aboard, with the deck where it is known. Tick the ones you went to and they are saved, with no names to type. TRAVEL DOCUMENTS, LOCKED Keep a copy of your passport, a boarding pass, the booking and your insurance in the Docs tab. It opens only with Face ID, your fingerprint or your passcode, warns you when a passport has under six months left, and works with no signal. Documents are never sent to us and are not put in TakeMeBack backup files. PACK FOR IT A packing list for each city, and ones you reuse. Tick things off as they go in the bag. SEND A WHOLE CITY TO A FRIEND One link carries the whole city: they open it in a browser with maps buttons on every place, or pull all of it into their own TakeMeBack. The link holds the places themselves, so nothing is stored on a server. FIND IT WHEN YOU NEED IT Search across every city at once: places, cities and cruises. See which of your saved places are near you right now. Filter by your own tags. NEW IN TOWN Six buttons on the Search tab open Apple Maps or Google Maps already searching near you: restaurants, bars, clubs, gas, grocery and hotels. Find a good one and share it back into TakeMeBack to keep it. FREE, AND WHAT PRO ADDS TakeMeBack is free for 15 cities, with as many places in each as you like, 2 cruises, 3 photos and 2 menu photos per place, 3 travel documents, 5 AI lookups, and a backup of your places. TakeMeBack Pro is one payment, no subscription: every city, every cruise, every photo, every document, unlimited lookups, and your photos in the backup. Nothing you have saved is ever locked. WHAT LEAVES YOUR PHONE Your places, photos and notes are stored on your phone and nowhere else. Five things do leave it, and Settings lists them too. What you type into address search, to find the address. A place name, a ship's name, or a screenshot, photo or PDF you choose, when you use Ask AI, look up a ship or scan an itinerary. Anything you share, when you tap share. A check with the store that you own Pro, with no name or account attached. And a check for app updates. Your location is read on the phone to show what is near you and is never sent; the nearby buttons hand the search to your maps app.

What's New in TakeMeBack

1.1.2

October 15, 2026

Look up a ship's bars and restaurants. On any ship's page, tap "Find her bars and restaurants" and tick the ones you went to. No more typing each name. New in town? The Search tab has six buttons (restaurants, bars, clubs, gas, grocery, hotels) that open Apple Maps or Google Maps searching near you. TakeMeBack now runs on iPad. Also: each kind of travel document has its own colour and icon, tickets and bookings show their travel date, a ship's page shows her photo, and forms no longer hide behind the keyboard.
