Not Voiceover Compatible!.

I was really excited to play this game app it is not able to read aloud using my needed voiceover feature as I am a little bit blind. I give it a one star until it can develop proper enunciation for voice over.

Password data breach

Within half an hour of downloading this app and using a email I never use to make an ‘account’ the iOS on my phone sent me an alert that that email had appeared in a password data breach.

Not enough keys.

I like the game but there are not enough keys to play the games. You get a key to unlock a chapter and once you use, that’s it. I feel like the game has potential. That’s why I gave it a 2 star review.

Needs to have bugs fixed

This app definitely has been cool but it needs some work. I was playing one of the stories. Got to choose my character in the beginning of the first episode. Then I started the second episode and was a complete different character option and I have no way of fixing it so I’m a bit angry.

Ok but…..

It’s really fun, but to do anything, you need to spend money on keys. If you don’t buy keys, the game is just boring. So yea a money taker.

Erotica app

Update 2023:
This app is taken over by erotica. I get emails with NSFW images advertising erotica. This app used to be unique and filled with cute romance stories, thrilling suspense stories, and some actually good sci fi stories. Too bad it’s all erotica content now. Sadly, uninstalled.

2020:
I love mixing in my heavier paperback novel reading with something from on here. The episodes are a good length while brushing my teeth or waiting for water to boil for tea. Some stories are better than others I’ve found. The recommended or featured ones are my favorite.

Let me just start by saying this app is really good. The thing bothering me though is the fact that the way you can refill your diamonds is if you pay for them. Could you guys please make it so that we can get diamonds by watching ads or better yet make it so that we get them as a daily login gift.

Skipping chapters?

I’m an author on this site as well as a reader but I have to say, the app is a pain in the butt!
I was reading an interesting story and the system wont let me read a specific chapter, just skips it completely. Makes keeping up with the characters and plot a challenge at best!
No wonder I haven't made any revenue from my story…probably no one else has either.

Crashes

Total waste of time and money. They have good stories available, but major server issues. Their books crash halfway through and that’s extremely frustrating. They also don’t respond on their social media handles if you contact them about it. I was reading Fox’s Wedding and The Ice Breathes…both did the exact same thing. Crashed and stopped loading as soon as I got about halfway through the book. I’ll be canceling my recurring purchases.

This app is so underrated! The stories are amazing, great mc’s that have an actual character growth unlike other interactive story apps on here and visually appealing. It also has all types of genres. For once the storylines on here makes me want to read more. The only thing I would say the downside to it is the updates. There are wonderful stories on here, that still need to be continued. It has taken ages for the authors to update them. I’m talking about months and months. For what’s it worth though, the app is still amazing. Hope it gets the recognization it deserves and maybe they will get authors who are a bit more consistent.

I honestly love this app

I love the book I’m reading right now. Just one note to the makers of the app. I wish that there was more then one key a day. In the book I’m reading right now some chapters are real short. I wait 24 hours for a few paragraph chapter. That’s my only thing I dislike. But other then that it’s a great app. I was looking for an app after Lovestruck went away I tried a few others but wasn’t liking them. Then I found what I was looking for in this app.

My favorite app!

Most of the stories are top quality. So many genres catering to different tastes, it’s amazing; truly something for everyone! I found that in many stories the choices really matter; it’s thrilling. They even have a number of stories with male MCs, and it’s growing. You absolutely can enjoy the stories even without having to spend gems (I use mine on my favorite stories or to tip the author). The key situation at the moment is horrendous, though. 😂 I’m a binge reader, so I definitely buy keys, but it would be sweet to have a way to earn them with watching ads. Log in every day and collect keys and then binge! Meanwhile, there are a LOT of fantastic stories that don’t need ANY keys! Search for “free” with the search option.

Great App

Great app! Love interactive stories so I’m surprised I never found out sooner. Daily login gems or ads for gems would be great. Or calendar rewards. Ways to reward daily players. Hope you guys update regular as I just started a story with only three chapters out!

We hear ya! We're working hard to bring back ways for readers to earn free keys and gems, so we're definitely taking note of theses suggestions. As for story updates -- we have a lot of free stories that you can dive into while waiting for your favorite author to post new chapters (most authors update regularly). Some stories, however, are not guaranteed to become a full-fledged series as they are one-time contest entries. The good news: a lot of new short stories come in every month (our writing contest is a monthly thing), so be sure to check those out. We thank you for the feedback! Keys are a real problem that needs to be fixed

The timer on the keys are a huge problem. I had 4 keys, I used 3. The timer said I had to wait for a certain amount of hours. I came back to the app 2DAYS later and I still had one key. Please fix this. Also on the website it’s hard to even write one chapter of a tales story bc the website keeps crashing and acting slow.

not suited for people who like to binge read

I love the concept of this app & it had me hooked until I went to bed at around 1am and it showed that I would get a key in 2 hours then I wake up this morning at around 10am and its showing I now wont get the key for 17 hours lol. 24 hours for one key is a little ridiculous & I understand that there are free books but their aren’t that many and the majority of them aren’t completed. I really enjoyed the app but only being able to make it the first chapter of a story then only being able to read one chapter per story per day (unless you purchase more keys) isn’t something I’d like to do. like I said the concept was cool and alot of the stories and writing are amazing but that key system is a little outrageous lol

Good game, I have a few suggestions though

Tales is a really great app. I like it because of the interactive stories and how you can make your own and publish it quickly. I have a few suggestions though, which, if implemented, would make me play and create on Tales a lot more.

1. I wish there was some sort of way to download episodes in series to complete offline. This way, you can access some episodes offline if you prepare.

2. I would love if you could prompt the user to enter in text in your story and save it for later. For example, you could ask the reader what they want their character’s name to be for more customization.

3. A way to see all your stories, how many people have liked them, how many people have played them, etc. inside the app without having to scour the whole platform because your stories aren’t very popular would be great.
