New in 2.1.49: - Fixed a crash on iPads when rotating into landscape or opening the chapter list while watching a course - Fixed a rare video player error when switching between lectures - Videos now play even when captions can't be loaded - Clearer offline messages when your connection drops or times out - Also new, from version 2.1.47, our biggest update in years: - iPad support: the app now rotates into landscape on iPads - great for keyboard folios - Much better offline behavior: your downloaded lectures are always there - Downloads are far more reliable on flaky networks, with automatic retries that actually retry - Fixed: one problem course could stop your entire library from loading - now it's skipped and everything else loads - Fixed: course pages could freeze in landscape - Fixed: a crash when a search result pointed to a course not yet in your library - Fixed: rare crashes when returning to the app and a hang on the startup screen - Video playback resumes where you left off more reliably - Rebuilt on the latest tooling for current iOS versions As always, if you hit any issues, we'd love to hear from you.

Login is buggy

Can’t paste login credentials into login fields. When password managers are the norm, it’s often necessary to paste passwords as typing out random strings is unnecessarily cumbersome. This is basic functionality, please fix 🙏

Highly highly recommend

I've been an regular listener to the podcast for years. Talk Python Training is the absolute best courses hands down. I purchased the full bundle and have not regretted it. They cover everything from Python basics, advanced Python , htmx, Django, fastapi, pytest and git and a whole lot more. The videos and materials are much higher quality than Udemy. Check out some of the free courses to see for yourself.

Superb for travelling

I recommend using this app if you have bought a course or bundle from Talk Python Training. Sure, you can view the material just as easily using a browser, but this app comes into its own for its ability to download to your device. Useful if you’re travelling or don’t have a good internet connection. Sometimes I have seen the pictures mixed up between the courses but you get the right material by clicking on the course title you want. No dramas.
