The app does not work. I scan in documents. It says it's reading them out loud but it's not.

It’s very worth the price
Not quite ready for real time OCR to Speech
09 Oct 2025: I am continually searching for app to help a severely dyslexic 83 year old person that is incapable or reading even the simplest thing like store labels, short notes, etc. This app is one of the closest that I have found that doesn’t ask the user to amputate both arms for subscribing as others do. However, it has its issues that I have outlined below.
1. Taking a picture and having it OCR converted to speech takes too long and this doesn’t make the app as convenient and quick as one would expect even though it does a really good job at doing just that.
2. It uses an unnatural computer generated (robotic in nature) voice and has no setting to alter the voice used even though translation can alter the speech a bit.
3. It only offers a monthly subscription and no annual one which may be ok for some; but, a constant annoyance to others who would use it constantly and would appreciate the typical discount for an annual subscription.
I’ll continue to check-in on the development process for this app to see if the one critical thing, speed, is addressed making it a great app for dyslexics.

Hello, Thank you for your feedback. We've updated the app to scan pages 10x faster. Natural voice tones are being rolled out progressively. Please update to the latest version to access these features.

This app works as advertised. My only issue is with the time it takes to scan. Works well with voiceover and is comparable to other similar technology. The translation and colloquial read-back feature is nice.

does its job, but not a solid app
not smart enough to tell when internet connection or image quality is causing it to fail, etc., but it does scan text and read it aloud - when you can get it to work.

Die App funktioniert nicht, es klingt zwar wie bei einem Foto, aber danach tut sich nichts mehr. Über das Support Formular kann man auch nichts wegschicken, da man immer nur einen Buchstaben eingeben kann und dann man wieder neue auf das Bild klicken muss. Schrott !!

Hi Swka, We are sorry for this issue. Your iOS version is outdated for the app to work properly. Please update the app (for free) to the new version which fixes most major issues and introduces new vision impaired mode!

Me parecía, una buena opción, pero al combarlo si quiero que lea en voz alto o me guarde el documento, nos haces pagar casi 9€al mes, me parece una tomadura de pelo
