THE SILLY HEN is the 2nd of seven TALKING SHAPES apps that teach 36 sounds of English, the letters that represent them, and words that can be built with them. The ongoing storyline is about two sisters (“long, long ago”) who invent letters in order to remember the stories they love. SILLY HEN adds to what was learned in TALKING SHAPES1 by teaching 5 more letters (L.E.N.M.P), 6 phonemes (“l’, “e”, ”n”, “m”, “p”, “E” (as in ME)) and 10 KEY WORDS: MAN, PAN, CAN, HEN, PEN, PET, SET, LET, HE, ME, with an interactive story and games. Talking Shapes 3-7 teach the rest of the 40 sounds of English and words that can be built with their letters.
