About

Talo puts the parts of your house you actually touch on one screen — as native iOS controls, not a web dashboard in a wrapper. Point it at your own Home Assistant, pick the things that matter, and they become tiles you can hit with a thumb. THE WHOLE TILE IS THE BUTTON Lights, switches, gates, covers, locks, fans, valves. Tap anywhere on a tile to toggle it — no aiming for a small switch on the right. The tile lights up while the command is still travelling and settles on what the house actually reports back, so a gate that takes eight seconds to open looks like a gate that takes eight seconds to open. ARRANGE IT LIKE A HOME SCREEN Hold a tile and drag to reorder. Put the front gate first because that is the one you use in the rain. THE ALARM PANEL, WITH ONLY THE MODES YOU USE Home Assistant offers six arming modes; most houses use two or three. Choose yours — off, night, away, whatever your panel supports — and the rest stay out of your way. Arming states are shown honestly: "arming" reads as arming, not as off. CONTROL CENTER Add a Talo toggle to Control Center and reach a light, a gate or the alarm without opening anything. Swipe down, tap, done. ON YOUR WRIST The Apple Watch app lists the same things and toggles them directly. On a watch with its own network, it works without the phone nearby. SENSORS WORTH A GLANCE Temperature, humidity, power, water, air quality — name it, give it an icon, and read it at a glance. Binary sensors can light their tile too, and any tile can invert its highlight if "off" is the state you want to notice. ICONS THAT LOOK LIKE YOUR HOUSE Talo reads the icon Home Assistant already assigns to a thing, and where the system has no symbol for it, Talo draws its own: solar panels, wind turbines, heat pumps, robot vacuums, doorbells, sprinklers, radiator valves, boilers, water tanks, meters, inverters, pool pumps, swing gates, awnings, anemometers. Over 220 icons, or keep the default. SET UP ONCE Enter your server address and a long-lived access token. Talo tests the connection before it saves anything, and tells you what to fix rather than that something failed. Your iPhone, iPad and Watch then share the same setup through your own iCloud account — configure the house once. PRIVATE BY CONSTRUCTION Talo has no servers. It talks to the address you enter and to nothing else. The token lives in the iOS keychain. There are no analytics, no tracking, no advertising, no third-party SDKs, and no account to create — the only credentials involved are the ones your Home Assistant already issued to you. Free for fourteen days with every feature switched on — no trimmed version, nothing held back. After that Talo keeps showing your house and stops switching it, until you unlock it with a single payment. Not a subscription, and never a second charge. Twelve languages, including English and Portuguese. Talo is an independent app and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Home Assistant or Nabu Casa. A Home Assistant server of your own is required.
