About

Tamdok is a manga reader for iPhone, built around catalogs you install — not a locked-in store. The name comes from 탐독: to devour a book. The app is made for people who want a real library, a serious reader, and catalogs they can add, update, and even write themselves. CATALOGS Install source extensions from a registry URL you choose. Tamdok's first-class format is JavaScript (.tamdok): easy to write, share, and update. Browse home layouts, listings, search, and filters from each catalog. LIBRARY Save titles, sort them into categories, and see unread chapters at a glance. Switch between grid and list views. Pull to refresh, or get notified about new chapters in the background. Search across your library and installed catalogs. READER Paged left-to-right, right-to-left, or continuous webtoon. Crop, pillarbox, tap zones, and automatic reading mode. Progress is saved so you continue from the last page. OFFLINE & BACKUPS Download chapters to read without a connection. Back up your library manually or automatically and restore it later. PRIVACY & PERSONALIZATION Incognito mode stops saving reading history and read marks. Lock the app with Face ID, Touch ID, or your passcode. Theme, accent color, and alternate app icons are yours to change. Tamdok does not bundle a manga catalog. You add the registries and extensions you want to use. Catalog availability and content are determined by those extensions.

What's New in Tamdok

1.4

November 5, 2026

• Library: fixed lists, scrolling is smoother. • Multiselect in sources: now has three states: selected, excluded (red), cleared. • History: cards show how many chapters were read in the period. Bulk “mark as read” actions get their own badge and don’t expand. • Statistics: bulk marks no longer skew the data. • Storage: data moved to SQLite, so the app handles large libraries faster. Backups are saved as .tdb.
