Finally, a Coffee App That Gets It Right
I’ve tried a number of coffee logging apps over the years, and Tamp stands out because it strikes a great balance between simplicity and useful detail.
Unlike many apps that either overwhelm you with data or are too basic, Tamp makes it quick to log a new coffee while still remembering everything that matters—bean origin, roast, tasting notes, and brew recipes. Being able to save brewing parameters and recall them when you buy the same coffee again is a feature every home barista will appreciate.
What really sets it apart is the discovery aspect. The integrated directory of specialty roasters with live catalogues is something I haven’t seen implemented this well in comparable apps. It makes exploring new coffees almost as enjoyable as recording the ones you’ve already tried.
The interface is clean, fast, and clearly designed by people who actually enjoy specialty coffee. Offline support, cloud sync, and personal taste analytics are thoughtful additions without making the app feel cluttered.
If you’re serious about coffee—or simply want to remember which beans you loved and how you brewed them—Tamp is one of the most polished and practical coffee journals available today. Highly recommended.
