Too many commercials
I don’t know what happened to this app on my Samsung and Vizio tvs. There are so many ads I counted 14 ads in a row…. The weather played
and then the Ads started again. HORRIBLE!!!! When I am away, I like to keep up with our news in Tampa Bay…….right now it is almost completely useless………

ABC Dislikes Truth
Today ABC News suspended journalist Terry Moran for speaking the truth about sicko fascist Stephen Miller. I am therefore suspending EVERYTHING I have to do with ABC News, including this app.
the AM/PM headlines need to be given a better tone
the tone of the headlines is so genuinely insensitive. today you grouped an easter egg hunt between news about 2 murders. it's so weird please just do bullet points or time stamp them in the push notification because the order you put them in is comically insensitive and it's almost everyday
Streaming review
I was a huge fan of this tv station. I recently cancelled my cable and am streaming now. This station is the biggest disappointment as it shows very short snippets of news. Then plays annoying music while blocking commercials. I would rather see the commercials than hear this repetitive music. I now watch other channels that are not so disruptive.

Pop up ads rule this app
The app isn’t really terrible, but it’s almost impossible to read anything because of pop-up ads that constantly interrupt what you’re trying to read. I finally gave up on it and deleted it. Too bad

Way too many adds. Can’t watch any news since the ads are constantly popping up on my screen
Terrible, awful, no good, very bad update
Ever since the app updated about 1-2 months ago, it’s absolutely terrible. I used to read news on this app all the time, but it times out, brings you to headlines that are not in the notification I clicked on, and it’s nothing but a bunch of interstitial ads that don’t work or you watch and then scroll down to read the story and ANOTHER ad pops up. Awful. I literally look at notification headlines then just do an internet search to read on other sites. What a shame

Can’t read anything
As soon as I open the app a video keeps playing and I can’t do anything to stop it. I’m about to delete it. It is so annoying and frustrating.
Used to be good
Don’t know what happened but can’t read a news story without a video ad taking over the screen. You close it and it pops back up. Made the app useless and complete junk. Deleting.
Useless for weather radar for the whole day
I got this app because I thought it would provide an entire day’s radar forecast, it doesn’t do anything even worthwhile, you can only see what happened, which you already know! I’m guessing that Scripts has done what most greedy companies have done, and placed anything useful behind a “PAY WALL”, which for a broadcast company is the epitome of GREED. This app is useless for all practical purposes, and I’ll be deleting it after this review. I will also not be watching ABC-28 (or ANYTHING ABC) from now on. They present little more than propaganda anyway.

Removed live stream
This app has now been rendered useless. Scripps Media group is ruining everything they touch including the Sarasota ABC affiliate. I’m deleting it and I’ll watch Denis Phillips on X
App Keeps Crashing
Did an app update on my Apple phone now the ABC Action News app won’t open.
Completely useless when needed
There were tornadoes around my area so I tried to use this app to follow the weather from the safe place in my home.
Absolutely no live coverage overnight. Just the pre-recorded segments that had zero to do with what was happening live. Had to leave the bathroom repeatedly to get updates from the TV, and was doing this as the tornado was passing over my home. Luckily, it had lifted off the ground by that point, but me or my family could’ve been hurt.
This is just pre-recorded videos and advertisements. Mostly advertisements. This app is NOT a helpful tool in an emergency.

Easy access
I love the app. Whenever I am not able to sit and watch the news on TV, I can always rely on the app for quick access to the news.
Won’t use a news app that sells advertising.
Simple as it says. When you sell advertising, news is no longer news. If you allow paid advertising and you won’t get the news without opinions.
Can’t even get to the live broadcast or weather reports without 5 minutes of commercials.
