I never write reviews but tbh this is like the perfect app for people who prefer texting over calling. Really really love the concept.

Something actually new
Tangle does messaging in a way I haven’t seen before. The whole approach is built around being in the conversation together, not just sending messages whenever. It feels different in a really good way, and you understand it right away once you try it. It’s fun seeing how the whole chat works.

Texting that feels live?
I downloaded Tangle because the idea was cool, but the design really surprised me. It feels like you’re actually with the other person instead of just sending messages they’ll read later. The whole chat is designed in a way that makes the conversation feel live and shared, like you’re both here now talking together. You notice it the moment you try the demo or get a friend to try it with you. It really is texting that feels live.

Great chatting app
Love it! Easy to begin and very useful for home and work as well. The Pulsar review was very helpful. I’ll be inviting other friends stat!
My friend group loves Tangle
I’ll be honest, we’re usually skeptical about trying new messaging apps. Everyone already has their thing, and getting people to switch is pretty hard. But when my friend showed me Tangle, the concept was too interesting to ignore.
I genuinely can’t believe nobody thought of this sooner.
It’s so simple but makes so much sense. You ring someone like a phone call, they answer, and then you just text back and forth knowing they’re actually there. It’s really nice being able to text someone and know they’re on the other side. When you’re done, you hit hang up and the chat closes for everyone, which I have never seen before.
The scheduled chats have been a lifesaver. We set up a recurring Thursday night chat to plan our weekends and now everyone actually shows up at the same time. We knock out plans in 10 minutes instead of the usual all-day text chain where someone always responds hours late.
Privacy is also a big deal. Messages disappear after you hang up and everything is encrypted. It’s nice using an app that actually takes that stuff seriously.
The not so great: The developers are clearly working hard because there’s been an update almost every other day, which is great but also means I’m checking the App Store a lot. Also, you need decent service since it’s a live connection, kind of like being on an actual call.
But honestly those are pretty minor. If you can convince even one friend to try it with you, you’ll get it immediately.
