About
Tap is the kegerator owner's calculator: get the right CO2 regulator pressure for any beer at your serving temperature, then balance your beer line so pours come out clean instead of foamy. Every number is cited to a named draft-beer authority — no guessing, no subscription.
CARBONATION (FREE, FOREVER)
Pick a beer style or dial the volumes of CO2 directly, set your serving temperature, and Tap gives you the exact regulator PSI to hold that carbonation at equilibrium. Altitude-aware. Pressure comes from the standard carbonation formula fit to ASBC data (within about 0.3 PSI of the Brewers Association chart — finer than a regulator sets). Style carbonation ranges are community standard (BJCP-derived) and shown as honest ranges, not invented exact numbers.
TAP PRO (ONE-TIME PURCHASE, NO SUBSCRIPTION)
- Line-balancing solver: enter your keg pressure, line type (3/16" and 1/4" vinyl, 5/16", 3/8", 4 mm EVABarrier), and the vertical rise from keg to faucet — get the line length for a balanced pour, using the American Homebrewers Association method. Or check a line you already have.
- Saved setups: store each kegerator, keg, and beer with its target carbonation and line, and recall the PSI and line length any time.
- Foamy-pour troubleshooter: match what you see in the glass to the likely cause and the fix, each cited to a draft-beer source.
HONEST BY DESIGN
The 3/16" line resistance value is genuinely disputed across sources (2.2 vs 3.0 PSI/ft) — Tap defaults to the most-sourced value and tells you so, instead of pretending there's one settled number. That's the whole point: a tool that shows its work.
