User Friendly
I just started knife making and this kiln was recommended by a friend who makes. I haven’t used a kiln in almost 20 years and it was nothing like this. It’s been a dream using this kiln and App. Everything is straightforward and easy to understand and navigate. I cannot recommend this piece of equipment enough. 👌🏻

Worth replacing all controllers!
I have multiple kilns that have different uses. I’m now planning to switch out their controllers for TAP so I can use this app for all.
Great App & Very Useful
I tend to be critical of app design and usability. I bought the kiln that had this controller because it had an app to control. I wasn’t expecting much but it is an obviously well thought out and designed app. I love it and even purchased the subscription bc how well it works. Highly recommend!

Being very new to fusing I love this controller. I have confidence using it. The pre-programmed schedules are great. It’s a place to start a place to learn from. I highly recommend this controller and I can sit on my couch and monitor it from upstairs that’s wonderful.

Must Have
Seriously great app for monitoring firings and making adjustments. Love the ability to create schedules from my phone and have them sync on my controller. Definitely recommend!!
Fantastic kiln control app!
This app is a game changer for our company. Totally reliable, simple to program and use remotely. Relatively small yearly or monthly fee to upgrade so you can remotely program, otherwise new programs are input on your devise controller and it’s free to use app to monitor and make changes. Customer service is amazing and patient! We’ll use for production and personal projects. All WiFi so USB/ethernet not necessary. Highly recommend!

Works like a charm
I have a TAP controller on my Evenheat LB 27. Works great but there is one thing that caused me to panic. I was midway through a heat treat cycle when I noticed it. On the oven, the temp said 1850° F. On the app it said 1850° C. Panic!! They def need to fix this.
Update: Had to switch it back and forth a few times and hit save each time. It corrected itself on the second attempt. Very timely response with developers. Upgrading my rating now.

Excellent Customer Service
I recently upgraded my controller to the Tap II. I had some questions about installing it and Scott sent me a new faceplate and created a video on how to install the new board. I'm just starting to use the updated app but I like the improvements.

Great service
We were receiving an error message on the controller. I contacted SDS, had a response within an hour. After a couple of emails, Scott (the tech) decided to send a new circuit board—at their expense. Fed Ex delivery in 2 days; complete instructions and 20 minutes later my kiln is back in business. Can’t thank you enough! Great job SDS!!

I’ve had my jenken kiln with a tap controller for a year now and I just ordered the TAP upgrade for my Evenheat kiln.
Scott at SDS was very patient with me when I initially had problems connecting to the WiFi. We finally solved the problem and I have loved using the app. Make sure to pay for the upgrade as the best features are available then. I can start my kiln from the app, and I can also make on-the-fly changes to the program.
The best part is that I can enter unlimited programs and give them names that mean something to me. I got to the point where I was so tired of reprogramming my Evenheat that when I saw there is a kit to replace my ramp master with a TAP I jumped at the chance.
I’ve also seen upgrades to the app in the past year. The team is very responsive to suggestions. I highly recommend sds Industries and their products!

This App is Fabulous!
I initially had trouble connecting my kiln to the app, so I emailed their support team with my issue. They responded quite quickly and after running a needed software update on my kiln, everything went smoothly. 5 stars for the app and 5 stars for their support.

Love Tap controller
The App and controller is great. This company is amazing. They are so supportive and the customer service is great. Anytime i had a question or issue, they were on top of it and helped me immediately. Scott is wonderful. Worth every penny. Makes firing so much easier and now i dont have to get out of bed to check my kiln at night. I can just check out what’s going on in the app. It’s great. You wont be sorry working with this company. Game changer!
What a marvelous app. One of best things that has happened to me in fusing glass. Very responsive customer service now backed up by this perfect way to program my kiln, start the process, skip steps, monitor various steps in the process, check to see what the temps are while I lie in bed. Allows me to look at all my precious schedules without bending over to look at the controller. Flawless so far ok 8 months of use. Not a single hiccup. Simply superb. You will not be disappointed.

Love this App, so happy the developer moved forward with a paid version. They deserve the income for creating such an amazing product.
Imagine you’re in jewelry production and can remote activate, change firing patterns and monitor status of your kiln all from your smart phone! Well with TAP you can do all this and it’s super simple to use.
The Alarm Features on the controller it’s self are very nice as well. My location is pretty big and sometimes I will get very busy and I will forget I’m doing castings and I will here a load Beep letting me know I’m at my next stage in the firing pattern.
The APPS come a long way from original version!
It’s pretty much flawless now!
I will always reconvened TAP to anyone who’s a jeweler doing jewelry castings.
Specially those of you/us that use castable resins that are 3D Printed ! It’s essential to have a solid firing pattern. With a good Kiln, good Air Flow and the TAP Controller you are golden !
