About

Tap2nNFC is a production-grade field operator tool for provisioning and managing NFC tags for Tap2NFC. Built for authenticated super-admin users who need to register, program, reset, and deploy NTAG213, NTAG215, and NTAG216 chips in the field with full registry sync every step of the way. REGISTER TAGS Scan any blank NTAG21x chip to read its UID and identify the chip type, then register it into the tag registry in seconds. No data is written to the chip. The backend assigns credentials and the tag is ready to be assigned. PROGRAM TAGS A two-phase scan-confirm-write workflow keeps you in control. Phase A scans the tag and fetches the full registry record, tenant, location, table, and the URL to be written so you can review everything before a single byte is written. Phase B writes the NDEF URL, applies password protection, and verifies the write, all in a single NFC session. MANAGE INVENTORY Browse the full tag registry with search, filtering by status (Inventory, Assigned, Programmed, Deployed, Lost, Deactivated), and paginated scrolling across thousands of tags. Tap any tag to view its full record assignments, programming details, deployment timestamps, and metadata. RESET TAGS Erase NDEF data, remove write protection, and restore chips to factory defaults for reuse. Works on Programmed, Deployed, and Inventory tags with residual data. A two-phase confirm-then-erase flow prevents accidental resets. UNASSIGN TAGS Clear tenant, location, and table assignments and return a tag to Inventory no NFC scan required. A registry-only operation for reassigning tags without touching the chip. SECURE BY DESIGN — JWT session token stored exclusively in the iOS Keychain — Tag passwords live in memory only during the NFC session and are never written to disk or logged — No analytics, no tracking, no third-party SDKs — All sensitive log output uses Apple's OSLog privacy controls SUPPORTED CHIPS NTAG213 · NTAG215 · NTAG216 REQUIREMENTS — iOS 17 or later — iPhone with NFC capability — Tap2NFC Super-admin account credentials
