Tapely does two things about it. It shows you when the reading can be trusted — and when it can't, it says which problem you have. Moving too fast and aiming at a blank wall are opposite faults with opposite fixes, and being told to slow down when the real trouble is a bare white wall helps nobody. And it lets you fix the rest. Measure a bank card, a dollar bill or a sheet of paper once — all of them are made to an exact standard — and Tapely works out how far off your iPhone runs and corrects every reading from then on.
