About

Tapete is a case of board games for two people sharing one phone. No playing against the computer: here you always play with someone sitting across from you. On a folding phone, the fold is part of the game: • The hinge is the backgammon bar, the four-in-a-row frame and the chess net. • In sea battle, you place your fleet, close the phone and pass it over. When it opens, the other player sees only their side. • In brisca, stand the case up like a book and each of you sees only your own hand. Compatible with iPhone Duo. On any other iPhone or iPad it plays the same: a curtain asks you to pass the phone whenever there is something the other player must not see. FIFTEEN GAMES • Sea battle, four in a row and air hockey, included. • Backgammon, chess with clock, checkers, brisca, xiangqi, shogi, go, dominoes, tute, liar's dice, secret code and cribbage in the full case: one purchase, forever, shared with your family. • Xiangqi with the river on the hinge and 9×9 or 13×13 go: the real classics, not mini-games. • Shogi, Japanese chess, with traditional kanji pieces: what you capture goes to your hand and can be dropped back in, and on a folding phone each player gets a board on their own half, seen from their side. • Liar's dice with each player's dice on their own half, secret code with close-and-pass, and cribbage with the peg board along the hinge. MADE WITH CARE • The real rules: Spanish checkers with flying kings and mandatory capture; chess with castling, en passant and every kind of draw; backgammon with single, gammon and backgammon wins. • Felt, walnut and brass: a travel case, not a mini-game menu. • Games save themselves: folding, a call or closing the app never loses one. • No accounts, no ads, no analytics. No data collected. Questions, ideas or problems? Write to hola@tapete.games: a person answers.

• New in the full case: shogi, Japanese chess, with traditional kanji pieces. What you capture goes to your hand and can be dropped back in; on a folding phone, each player gets a board on their own half. • Small fixes. • Try chess for six moves before buying. • Clearer purchase screen and improvements to price loading and purchase handling.
