this genuinely means a lot, thank you so much :) so happy you found your keyboard bongo lol the capitalization and fast typing issues are on my radar, they come from the limitations of building a custom keyboard on iOS which is harder than it sounds. honestly whether I can invest more time and resources into Tapling depends on how much interest there is. reviews and feedback like yours definitely make me want to keep going. no promises but I won't abandon it :)
Haptics and Privacy
Also please figure out how to make it so that we can earn keycaps without giving the app Full Keyboard Access. I’m just not willing to do that and most people won’t after the warning Apple gives about how enabling it could give a developer access to everything typed including credit card information. Most users won’t be able to read the app code to verify the “only counts taps” claim. Thank you.

I totally get it. The keyboard doesn't feel like the native iOS keyboard. That's because iOS doesn't allow using the system keyboard. So Tapling uses a custom keyboard built with KeyboardKit. It's the best option I’ve found. To get full parity (including everything you mentioned) I'd need a paid KeyboardKit plan (around $150+/month), which isn't feasible for a free app. I've tried to extend the free foundation for a more native feel but haven't gotten there yet. If there's more interest, I'm happy to revisit. On keycaps: it's an iOS restriction. As soon as the keyboard shares anything with the app (be it just how many keycaps you've earned), you need Full Access. You can still use Tapling without earning keycaps. The keyboard works without Full Access. You just won't earn keycaps. All of this is open source, and I take the privacy side very seriously. It's the best I can do under these constraints. If you have questions or ideas, I'm all ears :)
