Still going!!

Been using this app for over 7 years! It’s still going strong. Whenever I go on my beer trips I put this watch face on. It’s great to be able to search and check in a beer on the watch. Less intrusive than having your phone out. Great job by the dev to keep this working!

A little buggy but helpful in contexts.

When I don’t have a connection but want to possibly review beers I’ve had for possible reordering, this is the app for that. I am trying to use it for more but I think Untappd kind of forces limitations on it that kind of hinders it unfairly.

Can’t log in

I created an account and can’t log in. No way to reset. Waste of $5. Contacted the App developer and the TAPPD company, absolutely no support.

Hi ExSierra, I'm sorry you're having an issue logging in with Tappd That. We did communicate several times through email. Tappd That simply accesses Untappd's servers. If you have lost your account information for Untappd, I cannot help you recover it. An equivalent scenario is if you use the Apple Mail app to access your Gmail account, Apple cannot help you recover your Gmail password if you lost it. If you are unable to use the app, please contact App Store support for a refund.

Promising but not quite there.

I was hoping for an Apple Watch companion to Untappd that’d let me check in to beers.

A complication that could show that days number of checking would be really useful, and is really what I’m hoping for.

That said, it’s not reasonable for me to give a low rating because the app doesn’t have a feature it doesn’t promise to have. Still, this would be more or as useful as a complication showing # of distinct beers.

But the issues are that you can’t delete an entry. Otherwise, the Apple Watch app lets you check in beers and then says “The data could not be read because it is not in the right format.” Which is weird and has nothing to do with interactions.

For $5 it should at least be bug free.

I’m sorry you’re getting this strange “format” error on the watch. Please email me with any feature requests or bug reports. Deleting check-ins is not something that Untappd allows third-party apps to do unfortunately.

Outstanding

I really like the iWatch complication, especially for beer fests. Super fast app on the iPhone, provides a nice summary of activity. Really easy to use.

Solid Start

Would love to be able to locate nearby venues that carry the beers I search for. Interface is clean, but not quite slick and optimized for iPad, which is the primary reason I picked this app up. Nonetheless, I am very thrilled to have this app for the iPad. In case you were wondering, it does work in and has landscape mode as well! Support the developer - they’re off to a solid start.

I gave it three stars: I am taking one star away each, for two things.
1) there should be a way to spell/choose from scrolling letters, because sometimes Siri does not get the name of the beer, and the beer may not be on the brewery's list.
1a) now uses “Scribble”
2) the geolocation works by guessing where you are by a previous check-in or check-ins. This is fine, but sometimes I have beers at different places. Suggest implementing real GPS, if possible

Thanks for the suggestions! In the latest versions of Tappd That on Apple Watch, you can use the Scribble feature of watchOS instead of Siri to search for beers. As far as the geolocation, it sounds like you have "Guess Location on Check-in" enabled in Settings. This feature guesses your location based solely on your previous check-ins. This means it can guess without an Internet connection. You can always turn this off, and/or search for your current location by toggling the location toggle during check-in and searching for the location with Foursquare. Thanks for using the app!

Awesome app for Apple Watch 3 cellular

Check in your beers with out your phone! With the Apple Watch series 3 + cellular you can use Tappd that to check in any beer, rate, write note, add venue and even share your check in all with out your phone!

Has dictate or scribble mode to search beers and write notes. Uses location and four square to find the closest venue to add to your check in.

If you do not have internet you can still
check in beers you had before, syncs everything with your Untappd account.
Also has a cool complication showing how many distinct beers you have checked in. (I use that for my beer fest watch face)

This is the Apple Watch app Untappd should have made!

Great Addition

I love this app because you don't have to drag your phone out to use it....you can simply use your watch. I would have given it 5 stars but the watch component doesn't always work as well as it should. Regardless, it's a solid compliment, worth the cost!

Track Beer On My Watch!

clear and self-explanatory

I like the App, because it's easy to use, clear and self-explanatory. But there is a high potential for further development. What I miss most is a complete filtering, means not only by name, but also style, ABV, IBU etc. Also I would appreciate a download possibilty.

Thanks for the suggestions! I like the idea of more advanced filtering. I can't promise anything, but I would like to add that. As far as downloading, this is a feature provided with Untappd supporter accounts. Even though I could add this, I don't want to provide something for free that you have to pay Untappd for – it just doesn't seem right to me. Thanks for using the app!

Help needs fix

Latest update has issue where it won't delete/install. It is stuck loading at 3/4 and won't delete or download fully from iCloud. Love this companion app and need it for offline access on my iPod. Please fix.

Hmm, this sounds really strange. Tappd That doesn't currently integrate with iCloud at all, so I'm not sure what's going on here. It sounds like something else might be wrong with your device. Nice app

It's much much better than the actual Untappd app, but still a little clunky. Could use some UI cleanup. I appreciate its focus on checking in, which is what I most want to do when using Untappd.

Thanks for the feedback! I agree, the interface can be a bit rough around the edges. I should probably hire a designer. After a couple drinks it starts to look a bit better. At least, that's my experience. No, but really, I'll keep trying to make it better. Thanks for checking out the app!

Gets better with each version

I keep flipping between this and the official untappd app. But the offline ability and having just got the watch today this has be come invaluable. No longer at the pub with my head buried in my phone checking in I can quickly do it on the watch.

One suggestion, given the often hard beer names and non English words would be a way to see friends or nearby check ins from the watch to quickly check in the same beers

Like Untappd? This app will make you love it!

This is one of those apps that just makes you smile. All of the friction in the Untapped app has been removed in favor of a more seamless check-in, rating, and review process. My favorite enhancement over the "stock" app is the search functionality with third party websites. It's so simple to see if you've had a beer in the past, then jump out to Rate Beer or Beer Advocate to see what others have said to decide if you want to try something new. On top of that, all of the interactions are smoother with the native iOS controls.

Cheers to this developer and to knocking back a tasty brew!

Thanks Agent Smith, the third-party site search is one of my favorite features too. I tend to find BA to either over- or under-rate some beers though. It gives me something to complain about when I'm drinking. Cheers!

Simply the best Untapped app

100x better than the official app, clean and easy to use. I really love the linking to all the different sites and the newly discovered autocorrect setting ;)
