What's New in TapTales
1.0.1
October 13, 2026
Recording a whole story is more reliable in this update: • Reading a story aloud with long pauses keeps every word. • If a reading can't be turned into pages, TapTales tells you and lets you try again or keep the words. • Bedtime sounds keep playing when you plug in or unplug headphones. • Saved videos end with where to find TapTales, so the people you send them to can make their own. • Smaller fixes in the story editor and narration.

FAQ
How does TapTales work?

Can I use TapTales offline?
Yes, the app is designed to work with Guided Access to keep children within the story, and speech recognition happens on your device, ensuring your reading stays private and accessible even without an internet connection.
What are the subscription options for TapTales?
The app comes with three stories in your own voice and the ability to type or paste stories. TapTales Plus offers unlimited stories in your voice, custom photos, bedtime mode, video export, translation, and reading stats. TapTales Pro includes all Plus features plus a storyteller for five stories per month.
How do I cancel my TapTales subscription?
You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time by going to Settings > Apple Account > Subscriptions on your device. This allows you to control your subscription status easily.
Is TapTales safe for young children?
TapTales is built with safety in mind for small hands. Pages cannot be interrupted, the exit button requires a 1.5-second hold and can be secured with Face ID or a passcode, and it works with Guided Access to keep children focused on the story.
