It is so real, you can almost smell the Forth of Fife. But you don’t have to take a five-hour flight or drive on the other side of the road to play Tarandowah. It is a short drive down the 401 before heading south towards Avon, Ont.
Created by Martin Hawtree, the designer who is called on to tweak British Open venues, at Tarandowah you’ll find all the elements of a great links—firm fairways, wrinkled greens, hidden bunkers, and devilish winds. Like the overseas classics, Tarandowah is a great walk. requiring imagination and guile.
