These AI readings are ridiculous

Hi, thanks for the feedback! Nothing has changed in the app as far as the questions that are asked. If you did a one card "Matters of the Heart" reading, then the specific question is about "how they feel", and the reading will probably mention that. But if you do a 2, 3 or 4 card "Matters of the Heart" the question is a little different. In any case, the words that the AI uses are varied and not in anyone's control. I find that the readings almost always resonate for me but sometimes they don't.

My most frequently used tarot app for quick reference, but not much use for readings
The description boasts over 30 spreads (incorrect: 2,3,4,5, CC (10)-card spreads, so FIVE spreads, 1/6 of what’s advertised…and a handful of topics you can focus the AI generated reading on.
So It would take over a year to even try enough to know what you’re looking for next time (I.e. do I need a 2, 3, or 4 card spread regarding my career? What’s the difference or significance of how many cards are chosen? Not helpful for beginners beyond individual card meanings then.)
Tarot Simple includes one AI reading a day…and so does Plus. So what am I paying for, the quick reference that’s available in every other tarot app?
This adds insult to injury when you realize you can just choose your spread, and query/topic, just like in the app, do or make up your own reading ..and put it into chatGPT for free as many times as you want, for the same result. It’s false scarcity to keep you coming back to the app, which most probably already would.
IMO it’s totally unreasonable to not at least allow Plus users to circumvent this and get even /two/ readings a day by using both apps. It’s lowkey insulting to my desire to want to support the app and creator. I downloaded both of your apps, paid for one, only to be met with petty restrictions.
If this app just allowed paid users unlimited daily readings (as openai already offers), then the notes feature would be more helpful and I’d use the app many times a day to practice and keep a digital journal, everything in one place, finally! The potential is there, please make this app the wonderful all in one resource it can be for everyone from beginners to daily readers 🙏🙏🙏
+ I enjoy the additional features of messenger stickers (only fun if you have friends who will understand, unfortunately) and the affirmation widget reminds me to complete my card of the day meditation.
Unfortunately, unless I need to refer to something like planetary or color associations, other than doing a Celtic cross as a mental warm up, this app is pretty bloated/useless for the daily practitioner right now; but with easy improvements and a little less greed, it could quickly become the top tarot app for mobile.

TLDR: the features are the same in both apps, and people only buy the Plus version to remove the ads. I regret you were confused about the Plus version's benefits, and apologize if you feel you didn’t receive sufficient value. I am glad to know that you like the free app! If you feel dissatisfied with your purchase, you may consider requesting a refund through the App Store. Alternatively, please reach out to the email address found in the ‘About’ page, and I can try to make things right for you. I appreciate your insights. In terms of the issues you have raised: About Plus vs Free versions: The PLUS app and the FREE version have all the same features. People only upgrade to Plus to remove the ads. The only difference between the two apps is the advertising. Even the background colours you mention, are available in the free app as well. About use of the app: Just to clarify, even if you have used the day's free AI reading and don't want to purchase more, you can still do as many tarot readings as you like: choose any spread, shuffle, deal, look at the provided card meanings, make your own interpretations, and keep notes on them. There are no restrictions to access of the features in either app. So it is not JUST a quick reference, although it is that also of course. This was the original function of the app before I added the AI feature. For people who don't find it sufficiently useful, there are many other tarot apps to choose from. About the AI readings: You are absolutely right that you can put any tarot reading into chatGPT instead of using this app. But chatGPT will not give the same results as my app will give you, as I am using a premium OpenAI service. The use of the OpenAI API in the app is not free to me as a developer and that is why I can’t give unlimited free readings. I give a lot of free readings daily so that people will hopefully enjoy my app but actually it costs me money. ChatGPT is free for individuals but OpenAI’s many other services, such as what I use in this app, are not free unfortunately. I understand your desire for unlimited readings and I am considering the possibility, but an unlimited readings feature would have to involve a subscription fee. About spreads in the app: For your reference, the 45 spreads in the app are shown below. Simple but effective
This one keeps it simple and to the point without lacking any essential features. It has everything you need for basic card work, including a very detailed description of each card with information on associated elements, dates, numerology, astrology, etc.
Everything that’s there just works and doesn’t get in your way. Definitely worth the price.

The AI reading was a great update too. Seems like that has real potential for further development.
What would really enhance this model would be adding two more features to the app. 1. Clarification card options, to be able to click each of the cards in your main reading to reveal an attached additional card for deeper insight of each cards significant meaningfulnesses.
2. A pop up definition based on AI definitions made available for each card by holding your finger on a particular card. That would be awesome.
I’d love to talk to the developer about this app. I am very curious about what platform is being used to develop this product.

Hi, I hope the email that I sent to you has solved your problem! I have sent you a promo code for 'two-card readings' in Tarot Simple PLUS. If you are still seeing ads, make sure you are using Tarot Simple PLUS (with the purple icon) and not the free version, Tarot Simple (aqua icon), which will still exist on your phone. You should be able to delete the free version and still have any notes you have made, via iCloud (but first please make sure that iCloud is enabled). To clarify for others who might see this review, you can purchase Tarot Simple PLUS to remove the ads which appear in the free version. BUT, yes there is still an in-app purchase for two-card readings. So, you can pay $1 to remove the ads, and then you can pay $1 to purchase two-card readings, if you want. If you have already purchased two-card readings in the free version, and don't think you should have to buy it again, please email me and I will send you a promo code. Sorry for any misunderstanding. I am in the process of revising the app, so that the purchase of PLUS will not entail any further in-app purchases.
