About
Keep task progress within reach.
TaskPod brings your Mac’s Codex tasks to iPhone. Follow several AI tasks, read their progress and prepare your next instruction. Tasks continue to run on your Mac; TaskPod provides a companion view and supported interactions.
• Six tasks at a glance: follow recent conversations across projects, including running, waiting for an answer or approval, turn ended, interrupted and error states. An ended turn does not mean the whole project is complete.
• Wheel reading: turn to select and press the center to open. Read summaries, requests and recent activity, or open full text for user messages, assistant progress and final replies.
• Voice drafts: hold to speak Mandarin and release for editable text. Add speech, re-record or use the keyboard. Recognition runs on-device; use the keyboard if local recognition is unavailable.
• Continue a task: where its current capabilities allow, message an idle task or add instructions to an active one. Check the target, words and connection before sending. Handle unsupported requests on Mac.
• Sound and haptics: choose alerts for an ended turn, questions, approval requests and errors. Review results in completion records.
• A display within reach: foreground keep-awake, soft dimming, Live Activities and StandBy features. iOS schedules background updates, so check the update time.
• Local demo: explore labeled sample tasks and the voice interface before connecting a Mac.
Supported agents
The current integration supports local Mac tasks in Codex desktop. TaskPod with its compatible Mac BLE helper targets Codex 26.1021.31345 (21828). Six slots represent six conversations, not six agent platforms. It selects recent unarchived top-level conversations, excluding internal subagents. Desktop upgrades need a compatible helper update.
Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Gemini CLI and OpenCode are not integrated. Codex CLI and the VS Code extension have no independent live-control adapter; advanced local logs provide read-only observation. Cloud tasks, remote-host tasks and ordinary ChatGPT chats are outside the current scope. TaskPod does not run or select a model; it follows the existing desktop conversation’s model and permission settings.
Requirements and scope
Requires iOS 17 or later, your Apple-silicon Mac, the companion helper, a compatible desktop build and Bluetooth. The helper needs system Python 3 from Apple Command Line Tools. The interface is primarily Simplified Chinese; speech recognition currently supports Mandarin.
Bluetooth may disconnect briefly and the app will attempt to reconnect. If it does not recover, return to the app and check the connection. If state is stale or a send, stop or approval result is unknown, check the Mac before retrying. Demo screens do not represent live tasks or confirmed commands.
TaskPod provides no developer-operated cloud task relay. Raw audio is not saved or sent to Mac. Text you choose to send is processed by the connected Codex service under its service and account settings.
TaskPod is an independent third-party tool by CanTechStudio, not affiliated with or endorsed by OpenAI or Apple.
