About

TaskRecess is a focused place for work you cannot finish right now. Keep one task Current. When work stops, park it with a clear reason: Paused, Waiting on, or Blocked by. Add the detail you will need later, then resume directly when the path is clear. TaskRecess is intentionally smaller than a general task manager: • One Current task keeps attention visible • Every parked task records why it stopped • Resume, edit, or complete work directly • Undo an accidental completion • Add an optional next action, note, source link, or follow-up date • Capture a link or text from the iOS share sheet • Use Shortcuts for Quick Park, Park Current, Resume Next, and Show Parked Tasks • Choose exactly what widgets may reveal; count-only is the private default • Start an optional work-session Live Activity yourself • Export all data as JSON at any time • Delete all local app data from inside the app Your task content stays on this iPhone. TaskRecess has no account, advertising, analytics, tracking, or cloud sync. It does not inspect other apps, messages, email, contacts, clipboard contents, or activity. The free version supports up to seven active parked tasks. TaskRecess Pro is a one-time purchase that adds unlimited parked tasks, local history, hold-up presets, CSV export, and expanded widget details. Core privacy, editing, resuming, completion, JSON export, and deletion remain free. TaskRecess requires iOS 18 or later.
