What's New in Tastelog

2.0.0

October 4, 2026

Tastelog is a private diary of the meals worth remembering, out and at home: your food photos become memories that keep the place, the dish and the company, and the diary learns your taste as it grows. This is the biggest update yet. Get roasted. Tap Scan my photos and Tastelog goes through the last two years of your camera roll, finds your meals, and roasts you for them: a poster with your title and the evidence, ready to share. Keep the meals and they land in your diary, each with its place guessed and waiting for your yes. Your month, roasted. Log eight meals or more in a month, and when it ends, the next time you open the app your month gets its own roast. It keeps up. Took a photo of dinner? Next time you open the app it asks where it was, and keeps the meal in a tap. Answer once and it never asks about that meal again. Today, as tickets. Three picks every morning: sometimes a place from your diary you said you'd go back to, and dishes worth trying, each with somewhere nearby to eat it. Save one for later, or reshuffle. Home meals become recipe cards: what you made, who you fed, what you'd tweak next time, and whether you'd make it again. A new home for everything. The tab bar is now Diary, Today, +, Taste and You, and the + sits right in it. Your profile, friends and settings live under You, and your map opens from Taste.

Solved our group "where to eat" argument

I used to keep a mess of food photos and random notes in my phone that I’d never look at again. Taste Log made everything so much easier. Logging a memory takes seconds, and I love being able to tag friends I shared the meal with. Plus, getting recommendations based on everyone’s shared taste makes picking a group spot so much easier. Definitely keeping this on my home screen.
