Taps outside the letterboard are no longer held back. Tap Guard and the On-touch/On-lift setting now apply only to the letterboard keys, so the Hub, Quick Settings, Lessons, Settings and the text bar always respond right away. Tap Guard's default wait is now 0.5 seconds, so typing feels quicker on a new install. You can still lengthen it in Settings if taps are landing twice.
