Was born here in the US, my lola is from Bicol region in the Philippines and grew up with her as a child . I grew up speaking English but occasionally heard Tagalog, it wasn’t till i was in High School that I decided I wanted to learn Tagalog because majority of my friends were Filipino and now a few years later im semi-fluent thanks to this app giving me the definitions of words and proper grammar usage!!

Best Tagalog Dictionary
I’ve been using this app for my Tagalog language studies and it is the best app to use for translating Tagalog words or Phrases! While an absolutely amazing app, I would love to be able to see/add funds to my wallet, message my tutor or schedule classes from the app in the future!
Excellent! Needs an offline version thought
This dictionary really is the best thing out there. I use it constantly. I only wish there was an offline version that I could download onto my phone. I often have poor reception and expensive date which make the app hard to use away from Wifi.

Excellent! No other words are necessary. This app works Tagalog to English or the other way. You can type in any long Tagalog word with the crazy Pilipino conjugations and it breaks down every element of the word. This app is a must-have for any serious student of Tagalog.
Just use Ai
For what it is, it serves as a one stop shop for a dictionary for Tagalog. However, Ai does the same thing and it too will give more examples in sentences, as well as provide synonyms and antonyms. I purchased the app to help support the community and the developer. The app cannot be used offline.
Perfect pocket dictionary
As someone learning the language this has been one of the most useful apps I have used. Easy to use & excellent detail of vocabulary.

I love this app. All of the example sentences that explain every word. The audio of every word and phrase. They made it so easy to copy text and make flash cards. It’s clear they put a lot of care into this app and my grammar obsessed brain just loves it 💗
Best app for anyone learning Tagalog
This has helped me so much through my journey of learning Tagalog. Not many apps with a very easy and appealing format with phrases for the vocab to help you learn. The only thing I wish this app had was a login account so I could save the words to my decks without having to go to the online site. Otherwise the app has everything I need.

Great Dictionary
Use to use the green Tagalog to English L. English Dictionary to help me with accents of deep words found in scriptures. Took a long time. But with this it has made my scripture reading fast as I look up the correct pronunciations. Fantastic resource. Thank you!

The best Tagalog dictionary anywhere and it's not even close
This is a wonderful resource for learners of Tagalog/Pilipino. The search functionality is very well done, and there are loads of sample sentences with written and audio pronunciation guides for common words.
My only complaint / constructive suggestion is that I would like to have the pronunciation guides available in both female and male voices.

Best Tagalog app ever
Has almost all the functionality of the website.
I do however wish that it has the Google/AI Tagalog to English translator feature that the website has as I like to form sentences on my own and put them in the translator to see if they are correct

Useful Tool
This is a very useful tool for studying Tagalog.
The dictionary for Tagalog
This is by far the best Tagalog dictionary given it’s plethora of useful information such as word frequency, conjugation, and example sentences. I wrote an earlier review mentioning slowness and some quality of life issues and within a week they were already fixed and updated. Overall, this is a great app. I wish it had offline support given the spotty connectivity in the Philippines but otherwise the app is perfect. I’d say it is sulit for the price!

The dictionary for Tagalog
This is by far the most useful dictionary. The info on frequency and conjugations is hard to find elsewhere. But there is by far more information on the website. Also, the info is only accessible online so it’s less useful when traveling in the province of the Philippines. Also, it would be nice if the search bar cleared itself each time I open it. It’s a great app otherwise.

Great but want it to connect to account

Cannot use it in split view
The dictionary is super, but the new version cannot be used in split view on iPad. Not so useful now. Please, adjust that.
The last version 2.0 it's not an improvement for Tagalogo learners.

Best Tagalog Dictionary!
I rarely write reviews, but I have to say--TDC is one of THE best Tagalog resources, and to have it easily accessible on iOS? Practically a godsend.
I'm learning Tagalog as a hobby and this dictionary has made it 10x easier. It has all of your 'standard' dictionary features; part of speech, definition, etc.. but it also has usage notes, root/affixes, conjugation, example sentences, verb focus, word frequency, and so so so much more. There are also helpful features for intermediate/advanced learners like affix analysis and a corpus tool.
One day, I'd love to see a flashcard function on the app (like the one on the website), but aside from that, this app is absolutely perfect. One of my most-used Tagalog resources ever!
