Amazing in-depth access to iPhone LiDAR output
I’ve only scratched the surface and use this app directly for its incredible built/in presets for artistic viewing of LiDAR output, but there is SOOO much more to it. Every parameter you can imagine is adjustable, and the output (both in terms of raw data and video feed) can be sent to tools like OBS or Touch Designer for deep integration. Developer is super responsive and clearly dedicated to his craft.

Brilliant app
Though I’m not a regular TouchDesigner user I’ve managed to stream to TD from the app.
However, in the latest update (downloaded 25/07/26), the Point Cloud feature seems to be broken: no live preview. iPhone 14 Pro

Fun and versatile
I use with touchdesigner and also by itself for fun. It’s great for streaming from your phone for vj use and special effects. It was well thought out and has easy documentation
The LiDAR toy you didn’t know you needed
Very exciting initial experiments with this app. Should be useful on several fronts. Stoked to see where we end up from here!

Pay Walled
It’s an interesting app, but everything is paywalled outside of basic lidar data.
Great, but…
It NEEDS to offer landscape mode, so I can output widescreen/16:9/20:9 images… please. I bought the pro version in hopes of utilizing this app to the fullest, but I’m stuck with portrait-mode output…
Amazing app super useful
Very useful for touch designer, the LiDAR effects are very cool and make your face look like a painting. The OSC is the best there’s so much functionality that you can use in generative artworks 10/10

Seriously the best app for touch designer users. The visuals you can create are nothing like I’ve seen. Quite easy to use could use more tutorials but the overal functionality is unmatched
Great app, but confused about point cloud to TD
Hey, so I’m using the point cloud mode and have a TCP/IP dat in touchdesigner, but it lags my computer and the data seems unreadable. Let me know if I’m missing something!

Considering refund request
The app looks perfect on the paper. However there absolutely zero documentation.
I haven’t even found where to access the library of captured content to export it.
I don’t know what I have missed. Am I supposed to directly connect this app as a capture device to another piece of software (Touch Designer ?)
Also I would love to see an in-depth demo and explanation for each mode and what it is for.
Searched on the web, YouTube et .. nothing available, just some shorts with demos not going too much in depth.

Hi, there is a full documentation website which is linked in the app and sensors section, https://tdlidar.github.io/DOC/ The app is intended for use with touchdesigner, but recordings can be made on the device, Captured recordings are saved to your devices photo gallery. Removing this negative review would be appreciated, since there is an entire website with in-depth documentation. Your feedback is appreciated but there are false claims in this review that do not match the experience of many other users.
