Thank you for your feedback. The 30-second brewing time in the app refers to gongfu-style brewing, where tea is prepared through multiple short infusions (“steeps” or “pours”). In this method, the first infusions are intentionally very short — often 15–30 seconds, and sometimes even less depending on the tea. This approach is common for many Chinese and Taiwanese teas (oolong, pu-erh, some green teas), where flavor develops gradually across several infusions rather than a single long brew. The timer in the app is designed specifically for this style of tea preparation. However, longer brewing times can also be used depending on the tea and personal preference.
