Ads destroy the experience
I just can’t keep using this app. Too many articles pop up whole screen ads while viewing articles and no matter how many times you dismiss they come right back. I’m also fed up with the left leaning articles that do not talk about tech.
Pop up videos
On sites like a gizmodo I have noticed that it is sometimes impossible to read the content because of videos that keep popping up time after time allowing you no chance to read the content, sometimes it’s even difficult to close the site down because of these annoying video pop-ups

Pop over video ads
Pop over video ads that persist when minimising the app in frustration? I would swear right now but I'd rather this review was published as a warning. Uninstalled after many years.

We do not place any pop up ads or video ads in the app. You are likely seeing pop ups from the third party websites you visit within the app which we do not have control over. Please let us know if there is a specific site that displays these popups and we will try to investigate further if there is something we can do to prevent that. There is a possibility to limit and block these types of ads with a Safari content blocker which can be used with the app if the Premium upgrade is activated, this also removes the app banner at the bottom of the screen.

Only minor problems, like coordinating light/dark mode throughout app/browser/system...forgivable i light (pun, sort of, as the news is has a better presentation and legibility in 'light' mode here, of its overall excellence and for practically nothing; the coordination of sources, unlike the proceeding quibble is respectable for the cost/benefit ration. Just mind the refresh rate choice in the app settings.

Fantastic App & Dev
First off, this app is fantastic. It has every site for tech news you could possibly need/want, and you can choose which sites show up in the main feed. It is a literal plethora of news and information. If you’re a tech nerd, you need this app.
Second, the app itself works flawlessly. I have been using it on various devices for many, many years and almost never encounter any problems. Feeds refresh and update quickly and articles and sites load smoothly. In the *extremely* rare case an issue pops up, it is quickly addressed and back in working order at an impressive speed.
Finally, the developer is first-rate. The app is well maintained and replies to user feedback are handled quickly, politely, and professionally - truly an example to his peers. The premium upgrade is worth every penny, not just to remove the ads, but to support a developer of this caliber.
I highly recommend this app, and that you check out his other app, MacHash, for all Apple/Mac/iStuff-related tech news, as it is just as excellent and informative as Tech News Tube.

This update is a trap to lure people into accepting their privacy policy. “We put a lot of love into tracking you everywhere”… Shame that I paid for this app that I can no longer trust. Bye

Half of the articles were not tech related but all of them came from lefty sources and were very biased.

This is a tech news source. I want to hear about tech news. I know the low level tech employees are all anti trump but I don’t want to hear politics when I’m trying to learn new tech info. I know I change drop settings but still

Tech News Tube had some intermittent downtime yesterday due to a network issue with our hosting provider. Apologies for the inconvenience. The app will continue to work in offline mode with cached data even if our website is down.

Good concept, iPhone 4 design
This app has SO much potential! There’s a gap in the tech news aggregation space and this fits the bill with the credible tech news stations it contains. HOWEVER, the app hasn’t been updated in 6 months and the interface looks like it belongs on an iPhone 4. Sadly, will not be using. Please improve the UI and UX. Lots of potential here
