2.2

The engine opens its books. • "What the app has learned" (Settings → Data & Privacy): the engine's real progress, unvarnished — its maturity in four stages, your sources and topics with their exact confidence state, your reading habits, and what the app does NOT learn. Every gauge is a real engine value; nothing leaves your device. • Milestones that reward noise avoided, never volume: articles skipped without reading, deals kept out of your feed, source types connected, topics followed, groupings reported. Quiet recognition — no notifications, no streak to keep alive. • "This article doesn't belong here": a long press inside a topic removes the intruder on the spot (undoable), and it stays out on later passes. • Deals in their place: promotional articles get their own badge, leave Today's Summary, topics and For You, and hide behind a switch in the RSS tab. Deals you saved stay visible. • Your newsletters live in folders that actually open: a category opens on tap, its newsletters too, and "New category" waits at the bottom of the list. • YouTube starts fullscreen, right away — and if a channel forbids embedded playback, the YouTube page opens by itself. • The engine now understands Chinese: search matches by word, and Chinese articles covering the same event group together. • Diagnostics: the reports the system writes about the app, on YOUR device — readable, shareable with an explicit gesture. Nothing leaves without you. • Launch no longer waits: For You content AND Today's Summary appear immediately, even while the app refreshes in the background (26.7 seconds measured before in that case, 3.0 today). • An RSS article opens on content, never on a grey screen: its description shows on tap, the full text takes over. • In dark mode, a newsletter's body renders on paper white, exactly as its publisher designed it — perfect fidelity over approximate reinvention. • Already-read articles no longer come back from the dead (an iCloud sync was re-importing them), and the RSS tab stays smooth across thousands of articles. • Crashes when the phone sleeps: fixed at the root (database journal flattened, execution grace extended to every backgrounding). Not one crash since, and disk writes divided by 3.4. • Also: a heavily-read feed is no longer muzzled by a few "Not interested", card dates speak your language everywhere, and scrolling stays smooth during syncs.
