What's New in TechWorkSpace

4.4

August 1, 2026

This release is focused on protecting your proof of work. Several rare failures used to happen silently — a photo, a video, or a billing line item could go missing with no warning. Now they either recover on their own or tell you clearly. PHOTOS AND VIDEO • Fixed a rare case where a photo could be lost if saving to your Photo Library failed (out of storage, or limited photo access). The app now always keeps its own copy. • A recording that fails to save now shows a clear "Video failed — retake" warning instead of disappearing quietly. • A video whose overlay could not be applied is no longer reported as a normal success — you're told the GPS/time stamp is missing so you can re-shoot while still on site. • Fixed a case where an interrupted transcode could replace a full-length clip with a shortened one. • The burned-in clock no longer runs behind after you pause and resume a recording. • Coordinates are now stamped honestly: full precision on a good GPS fix, and a reduced reading with a "±" accuracy figure when the signal is weak or Precise Location is off. • Starting a recording by voice now uses the correct video quality preset. • Interrupted captures no longer leave a permanent grey tile that blocked the job from being billed. BILLING • Extra services with no matching item on the billing site are now named in the confirmation, so nothing is left off the invoice without you knowing. • Address matching is much stricter: street names and numbered roads ("County Road 25", "12th Ave") are now compared properly, so a job can't be filed against a similar address on a different street. • An add-on checkbox that fails to tick now stops the run instead of reporting success. • Reloading the billing page no longer flashes a false "Something went wrong" error. REPORTS AND JOBS • The completion prompt after a Telegram report can no longer be attached to the wrong job. • A report is no longer sent if any photo or video can't be loaded — you're told how many are missing instead. • Marking a job complete now correctly stops its Telegram monitoring. • Telegram search now shows a real error instead of "No results" when the session has expired. • Re-importing the same routing list no longer duplicates the day's jobs. • The daily earnings total and the EOD Report button no longer disappear while a search is active, and the report always reflects the latest completed work. PERFORMANCE AND BATTERY • Large reduction in battery use and heat: the app no longer holds full-precision GPS while your phone is locked in your pocket. • Fixed a freeze of several seconds that could occur when unlocking the phone with a job open. • Deleting a photo or a job now reclaims its storage instead of leaving files behind. BACKUP AND PRIVACY • Backups now include customer name and phone, signal level, job status flags, route order and SMS history — these were previously lost on restore. • Restoring a backup can no longer crash, and no longer overwrites newer edits with older ones. • Your OpenAI key is now stored in the device Keychain instead of plain app settings, and saved passwords are no longer included in device backups. • The location permission prompt now explains what location is actually used for. OTHER • Update notifications now name the new version and appear promptly after a release. • iCloud photo upload is now off by default and can be enabled in Settings. Photos taken while it is off are uploaded automatically once you turn it on.
