It isn’t customizable!

Not helpful for those nearsighted who want to stay that way after cataract surgery. Those of us who do NOT want to wear reading glasses and value our really good close up vision. I’ve never worn reading glasses. I’m fine with wearing intermediate and distance glasses as I have for years. This arrangement suits my particular hobbies and lifestyle. Yet so many iol manufacturers want to lump us all together as automatically wanting to see distance without glasses and not minding wearing readers. Cataract surgeons tend to do the same thing, and many nearsighted folks are not happy with the huge change in lifestyle and loss of their near vision. To me it is a safety issue as well as a lifestyle question. I want to be able to read pill bottles, read books, thread needles, use my cellphone, and propagate roses all without glasses. I do that now, and I’m a senior. So many others in online groups aren’t happy at the choices being assumed for us. Please change this app to let those who prioritize near vision to be able to use the simulator.

Great support for patient education on their lens choices at the time of cataract surgery

The IOL vision simulator is a terrific tool to visually demonstrate to patients' what vision they can expect following cataract surgery. It allows patients to compare vision with a standard lens and with a premium lens.
