Ski jumping game on real hills. Wait for the coach's green light, time the push off the start bar, take off at the edge, hold the V in flight and stick the telemark. TELEMARK is a winter sports game in warm pixel art, with real wind, real hill sizes and a landscape behind every hill. Free to play with six hills.
REAL SKI JUMPING HILLS
Fly off hills sized like the real venues (K-point and hill size): Wielka Krokiew in Zakopane under the Giewont, Malinka in Wisła, Skalite in Szczyrk, Schattenbergschanze in Oberstdorf, Bergisel in Innsbruck and the towers of Lahti. Six hills are free. VIP, one payment with no subscription and no ads, adds 17 more, the flying hills among them (Planica, Vikersund, Kulm, Oberstdorf), and World Cup seasons over the whole calendar, 14 hills with the flying hills at the end. Every hill has its own mountains, forests, lakes, towns and landmarks behind it, a cheering crowd and a podium for the leaders.
A SKI JUMP SIMULATION, NOT A ONE-TAP GAME
• Coach: he waits for good wind. Red light, hold on the bar. Green light and his flag, go. Go early and you jump in worse wind
• Start bar: the jumper rocks on the bar. Tap as he leans forward for a strong push and more speed at the takeoff
• Takeoff: tap just before the edge. Too early, too late or not at all, and you feel it
• Flight: drag your thumb on the strip at the right (or tilt your phone like a steering wheel) to hold the best angle in the V. Wind, gusts and speed keep moving it
• Landing: set up the telemark close to the snow. A little high is a two-footed landing, too late is a scramble, far too high or no landing at all is a crash
• Scoring: five judges from five countries, the middle three count. Distance points and wind compensation follow FIS rules
WINTER, AUTUMN, SUMMER. DAY AND NIGHT.
Morning, day, golden evening or night under warm floodlights. Clear skies, clouds, snowfall, rain, fog and gusty wind change your inrun speed and how the jumper flies.
PLAY WITH FRIENDS OR THE COMPUTER
Add up to 8 jumpers, each a person or the computer, name them and choose their colors or team kits. Take turns on one phone in one or two rounds, with standings, a final ranking and a rematch. A person and a computer make a duel. Playing solo is training with a personal record and medals on every hill.
NEW TO SKI JUMPING?
A short tutorial stops the game at each step and teaches the controls.
THREE DIFFICULTY LEVELS
EASY: wide timing windows, hints and slow motion for the hard moments. NORMAL: the real thing. PRO: narrow windows and a nervous flight.
