Hi, thanks for the feedback!! Base on your feedback - the latest version (3.6 at time of writing) fixes the paste issue you highlighted. Also the latest version has enhanced text editing capabilities plus the ability to magnify font sizes rather than setting one size for all. This allows you to have text with multiple font sizes in. Flip between magnification at size setting by pressing the icon to the left of the font size slider. Hi again, to delete file on macOS, right click on the file (click with 2 fingers) and you get the option to delete. on iOS long press on file. Not sure I follow what you mean by the first point as I think you can already do that. email the support contact in the help section (or on website) and I'll help you out on that. thanks!!

2- Only when first creating a new file by copying and pasting from Apple Notes, and before saving, the paste appears black on black. So I must first save and then reopen in order to read white on black. I have been unable to find a setting that avoids this when using a black background.

OLD review... (Heads Up: Tips and some other items below may now be IRRELEVANT)
This app is good overall, but it is in desperate need of fixes, as discussed below. Also below are pros/cons & tips, plus wish list items from my hours & hours of use of the app.
Fixes needed: This app uses sliders for the speed and the font size. The sliders are convenient to use, but it is almost impossible to be precise. It would be much better if there was an option to key in the exact number that you want (hopefully in addition to the sliders). Also, it is virtually impossible to check the current value for the speed & font size without changing the slider value - and then it is darn near impossible to get it back to the specific number you want. These issues REALLY need to be fixed. Please, please fix! Pros:
* Works on phone and tablet * Fixed price, no subscription (subscriptions are deal breakers for me - not interested in apps that have subscriptions!) * When you get the settings how you want (albeit this can be extremely difficult, as mentioned above), the app works very well * App is EXCEPTIONAL at handling manual interruptions (you can hold to stop or scroll up/down and it keeps going without any issues) * Some good features (e.g. left/right margin setting, countdown setting, default speed/font size setting, ability to hide bottom bar when script is running, ability to turn off the pointer globally) * Keeps speed/font setting for each script (although it's very difficult to set initially with any accuracy) * I like that you can have permanent dark mode even though I don't use dark mode on my phone (I like dark mode ONLY for this app) Cons:
* As indicated above, the sliders for speed & font size are difficult to use with any precision. This can be a HUGE problem. It wasted so much of my time and made things much more frustrating. * You can't see/check the value for the speed/font setting for any given script * There is a small scroll bar at the top right than can be annoying/distracting (it would be good to have an option to hide this) * A little too easy to delete all scripts (maybe move the 'delete all' option somewhere else?) * Buttons on dialog are all same color (making it a bit difficult to quickly note which is correct option to choose - would be best if most 'dangerous' option was red) * Doesn't save at least one global setting (I keep changing camera setting to 'none', but it always changes it back to 'front camera')
Tips for other users:
* It IS possible to use bold/italic. Select the word(s) while editing and choose the format option * It IS possible to have color text. I've been able to do this successfully by copy/pasting such text into the app * It IS possible to use a different font. Try copy/pasting into the app (making sure the text is the font you want) * Sometimes text being copy/pasted seems to disappear. Try exiting (being sure to save) and go back. You'll probably find the text is there.
Wish List:
* Wish there was a way to organize the scripts into folders * Wish there was a way to hide the two icons on the right side of the bottom bar (flip text) - I would NEVER use those options and accidental presses are annoying * Wish there was an option to auto-play another (specified) script after one script finishes playing * Would be nice to have 'export all' option (NOT to cloud). It is time consuming to export the scripts individually * Wish more of the settings could be per script instead of global And of course, please fix items above (including items indicated in cons/tips).
Lastly, if I could make a suggestion for this app - or for an entirely different app that I would be quite happy to pay for (if reasonably priced & not a subscription). If this app had a second column at right (even a small one on the phone version) for a script in another language, it would be very helpful for bilingual groups or individuals. I've been using this app to learn another language (e.g. having the lyrics to foreign language songs scroll while I listen to them) but as it is, I can only have the lyrics in the given language since there is only one column. It would be very nice to have a second column with the English language lyrics that runs next to the foreign language lyrics. It would be an invaluable educational tool! Ideally the second column could scroll at an independent rate from the first column as the length of text might be different in different languages. As it is, I can run this app at the same time on my phone and on my tablet - putting the two devices next to each other physically - to get the effect I want, but it would be sooo much better if there was an app that did this. You could make it as a bonus feature (e.g. something to pay extra for) or (even better, IMHO) an entirely different app.

Many thanks for spending the time on such a detailed review - it is really appreciated. We have taken your feedback and worked on some changes. All your fixes have now been implemented in version 3.5, available to download now. - Set speed and font values can now be keyed in as well as using slider. On iOS, long press on the speed or font icon next to the slider to bring up a dialogue to key in the value. On macOS, right click on the same icon. - Quickly check the font or speed values by performing same action as above. - Accuracy of values set by slider has been improved. - Scroll bar on right of teleprompter can now be hidden via an option in settings. - Deleting script comes with a warning and buttons changed to red color. - Changing the camera setting to "none" now saves that setting. - Script editing capability has been improved with ability to change fonts, colors etc. - Exported text changed to ensure black text on black background or white text on white background gets color change so you can still see it. - Added ability to export all scripts. Same with all videos. - You can now hide the two text flipping buttons. This is available in an option in settings. As for the other items in your wish list, they will be put on our backlog for future versions. Drop and email to the contact in the help page and will let you know progress. Also drop an email if there are other feature requests. Thanks again!.

Thanks for bringing the issues you had to my attention via email. All issues have now been resolved in the latest version - infact because of your feedback the app underwent a significant upgrade. You can also now try out the latest version for free by downloading the TelepromptMe-Sugar version.
