I do not normally write reviews but I had to for this cool little app. I do a lot of freelance consulting and training, because of this I looked into a site that could host, I could manage my services, host video, process fees, etc. They all charge commissions, ON TOP of their subscription fees! Pass. Hard pass. So for years I’ve been mixing and matching different apps to meet my clients’ needs. So I’m hosting video on Zoom, Google meet, or FaceTime. Getting paid through Venmo, Cashapp, PayPal, Zelle, and booking on google calendar, or ical, people constantly missed appointments. I tried some free apps for that and they weren’t professional enough, so I ended up subscribing to a service. It’s a lot to manage and keep track of. Especially for one guy. A friend referred me to Tellycom and I haven’t looked back. I made a profile, created my services, share them with clients when they want to book a consult. It handles my booking, video call, chat and file share (when I need to send or request documents) right in the chat. Its private and it handles payments so I don’t have to have those awkward “Hey remember when you agreed to pay me for a job... that I did… and you still haven’t paid me?” conversations. That alone is worth its weight in gold. Thank you Tellycom, and if you made it this far, thank you for coming to my TedTalk. My one knock is that it doesn’t have more payment service options, so I had to create a stripe account. But once I did that it was smooth sailing. Saves me a ton of time and headaches. Looking forward to the update.
