About
This is TempChat.
TempChat is a simple and end-to-end encrypted chat client. Add your friends and talk privately. All messages will be removed completely from the server after 10 days. So don't leave anything important in here, that you might need later. To be extra secure, you can host your own server, and be in full control of your own data.
Be aware that your privatekey lives on your device, meaning your chat history will only be available on the device where you created your account. This also means, you can't login to your account on a different device, and see old messages. This is on purpose, to keep your chat as private as possible.
We also tend to not store/cache anything on your device. This means you will have to fetch everything from the server, resulting in longer waiting than you're used to from other messaging apps. This is also on purpose, to keep your chat as private as possible.

Sending a chat request is clearer The button next to a name now says what it does, and asks before it sends. A chat request is not a chat: the other person has to accept it first, and the app now says so before, during and after. People you have already sent a request to are shown as such straight away. Knowing when your account moves to another device Signing in on a new device gives that device your encryption key. Until now the old device carried on as if nothing had happened, showing every new message as unreadable. It is now signed out and told what happened, and signing in again puts it back in working order.
