About
Take a short break from your day in a temple deep in the forest.
TempleDay lets you walk through the main hall of a Korean mountain temple, built in 3D, and rest your mind. There is no sign-up, and you see the other visitors who are in the same hall right now. There is no chat: instead of words, you feel each other through joined palms and bows.
■ Walk the temple
· Climb the stone steps from a leaf-strewn yard into the hall
· Tap where you want to go, or walk with the joystick at the bottom left
· Drag the screen to look around the hall
· A Buddha statue and altar paintings, lanterns, and a misty pine forest outside the windows
■ A hall you share
· See the people in the same hall walk, sit and bow
· Join your palms standing and the hall hears "○○ greeted you with joined palms"
· Sit on a cushion and bow
· Everyone gets a name from nature, like "Quiet Mountain Bird"; tap someone to see theirs
· Each hall has a limit so it never gets crowded; move to another hall from the top left
■ Sounds of the temple
· Birdsong, a forest stream and a distant wooden fish
· Chanting in the hall
· A temple bell as you arrive, a wind chime, and a singing bowl with each bow
· Set nature, chanting and effect volumes separately in Settings
■ And more
· 22 languages: choose one in Settings or follow your device
· The Buddha statue and paintings are made from cultural heritage data published by the National Museum of Korea and others
