About

Ten Frames School Edition — early math for the classroom Educational math app for children aged 4–6, built around the Ten Frames method. Purchased once for your school. Every world, level and theme is unlocked from the start. About the method: Ten Frames is a foundational visual learning tool — a simple frame of 10 cells used to teach early number sense. The method itself is included in mathematics curricula around the world. Children learn to instantly recognize quantities through visual grouping: a filled row is always 5, a full frame is always 10. These benchmarks become anchors for all future mental math. The result: stronger number sense, faster mental arithmetic, less math anxiety. What it covers: • Counting to 10 • Addition and subtraction within 10 • Pairs that make 10 • Doubles • Fair sharing • Visual memory • 9 Adventure worlds, 82 levels — all unlocked In the classroom: • A level is 5 problems and runs 2–4 minutes — it fits a carpet session or a station rotation • Voice narration in English, Romanian and German, so children who cannot read yet work independently • 10 visual themes children choose themselves (Space, Ocean, Forest, Farm, Candy, Unicorn, Pixel, Slime, K-Pop, Monsters) • 36 stickers and 14 achievements keep effort rewarded, never punished — a wrong answer costs nothing • Built-in Teachers section explaining coverage, session length and shared-iPad behavior Built for institutional use: • No accounts and no sign-up — hand a child the iPad and they start • Nothing leaves the device. Progress is stored locally, and the app works fully offline • No analytics, no ads, no tracking, no links out of the app • No in-app purchases of any kind • Available for volume purchase through Apple School Manager A note on shared iPads: progress is saved per device, not per pupil. Children sharing an iPad share the same stars and the same map. For individual tracking, assign one iPad per pupil. Available in English, Romanian and German.

What's New in Ten Frames

1.6.3

August 30, 2026

New world: High Five! — ten levels on the five-structure, the idea the ten frame was invented for. • Your child now has time to finish arranging before the app checks the answer. • When they get stuck, the app helps step by step: it rephrases the question, then shows which counters to change, then builds the answer while counting aloud — and still awards a star. • Levels build up more smoothly across the worlds. • The frame is clearer: the two rows of five are visibly separate, and the second number has its own outline, so it can be told apart without relying on colour. • Added support for Reduce Motion.
