What's New in Tend
1.1
July 29, 2026
What's new since 1.0 Insights / Analytics - A dedicated Insights tab (promoted out of a sub-screen). - AI data explorer ("Ask AI") — natural-language questions about your relationships, backed by multi-provider LLM support (Gemini default). - A wave of new visualizations: Social Health radar with tap-to-detail, network graph, tier donut, stacked-area activity-by-tier, leaderboard with swipeable categories, plus streak / effort-balance / prime-time cards. Calendar search - A full Calendar Search screen: free-text across friends, venues, types, and notes; field-scoped syntax (friend:, venue:, type:); people/type/date-range filters; recent searches; hybrid relevance×recency ranking. Friends & relationships - Pause reminders — pause a friend so they drop out of reminders (this is the feature we just spent the session hardening). - Life Events on friend profiles (#39). - Learned associations — the app notices which friends you see together and suggests linking them, with a post-save prompt. - Customizable contact-row appearance (#36) and in-app contact search when adding friends. Home screen - Homework / "Needs Attention" surface (#31) for relationships that need action. - Take a Break — shift due dates forward when you're overloaded, with undo. - Spread overdue friends across a window; Focus mode (tier-filtered Next Due); tappable overdue/this-week stats; pull-to-refresh; uncapped list browsing. Connections & calendar - Dopamine celebration animation when you log a connection (#38). - Venue capture from Places, passed through to the iOS Calendar as a real structured location. Notifications & wellbeing - Reminder-time picker + native iOS notification grouping (#37). - Social Energy — density-aware pacing with configurable recovery blocks. Settings & polish - Settings reorganized into Account / Data / Integrations / Personalization screens; compact identity row with Rate/Support; copyable user ID; Privacy Policy link; redesigned "How Tend Works" as collapsible tips; plus discovery hints that teach hidden gestures (long-press, swipe) one-shot.
