Worse results than free alternatives

You pay for the privilege of a ten-minute conversation which is really not enough time for a vibe check. I only ever got one match in two months and they kept rescheduling, then I finally missed it by mistake and was penalized. Support never responded to my email, which basically said that if I’m doing my best to honor the other’s second reschedule request and it ultimately falls through, it should also partially be on them for not honoring the original time, but now 0/1 is 0% which makes my profile look bad. Due to the way the app is marketed, most of the girls are basic and type A. I get way better results using the free versions of hinge and even tinder, so by that measure this was a failed experiment and waste of $30. Was excited to try something new and minimize back and forth but alas - it just doesn’t work.

Room for improvement

After a few months I finally got my first video date. I was surprised to discover that confirming the date requires a subscription, as this wasn’t clear during onboarding or while using the app. I think many people would have appreciated knowing this upfront, or it would be ideal having a non premium, free option with limitations similar to other dating apps(ads, etc.)I like the concept, but I can’t justify paying for another dating subscription.

Everything pay walled

You have to pay $10 if you even want to talk to a person, absolutely insane

Yikes

No active users, and you need to buy tokens to find out, feels scammy as hell. Some disturbing framing in the profile questionnaires, too. Great idea, poor execution. Avoid.

Pay model is just a money-grab in its early stages

In theory the idea of this app is great, but the payment model is currently designed to be not much more than a money-grab. You can’t swipe right or “like” anyone until you pay at least $15, and that doesn’t guarantee you any matches. Haven’t even had any matches yet by the way, since the app is gatekeeping the waitlist. So the app just took my $15 for absolutely zero return on investment.

Efficient dating

Love that the match making is done for me, takes away the chore of swiping. The video calls are brilliant because you can see right away if you have chemistry and interest in a person (you can also weed out catfish). Highly recommend!

Met my gf

Super efficient way to meet awesome people

Lower volume, higher quality

Joined because I was sick of sorting through low intent people.

Highly recommend given the quality of the profiles I’ve come across already. I’m swiping right more than left nowadays and having fewer conversations of higher quality. 🎯

The app interface is quite pretty although they’re still working out a few early bugs – very active team that’s super receptive to feedback as well!

No issues with the video call function (although my latest date called in from the car – says a bit more about him than it does the app itself! Quite impressive that the call held from NYC to Montauk lol.)

Easy to use an effective

The app seems to do a good job of vetting potential matches and seems to work pretty well

Great concept

Great quality matches. Dating pool isn’t the largest yet but growing. Haven’t met the one but hoping soon.

Obsessed

I am obsessed with this app I have used hinge/bumble for years but I LOVE this because you get a 10 minute vibe check with the person rather than just blindly going for drinks. So so good and have met some great people on it

Disappointed

Video is not the best way to first meet someone.

Elite

The video chat is a good flavor for dating. Cuts out the small talk, see if you like the person and then you get the number. Adam (the founder) is onto something

Not getting a Tenr

I’m not getting any match or proposal why is that? I have completed profile set up but no one poppin up why? Is the app faulty?

Please Avoid - Pretty sick and twisted

This app loves to torture and punish its users. You cancel a date a week in advance and it “ghost strikes you” making you feel bad and guilty for being responsible. It loves to message you and ping you constantly - harassing its users so it gets annoying. The developer is obviously a sadist and did this to hurt vulnerable people simply looking for a relationship

Optimal dating app

After having multiple dating apps, I can truly say that this one is unique in a sense that it does not give you tons of options and it allows the system to properly match people together. Although I am still single, I feel as if I will not be for long because this truly does have quality over quantity. It does not give you the reflexive loop of always thinking that there is something better out there. Obviously people match better in person versus online, but this is a great alternative. If you are a working adult and not a lot of free time to meet people during normal hours or at night at events. 5/5 stars!

Zero Data Privacy Integrity

company released my personal data within 72 hours of account creation

Height verification broken

App itself is fine, no matches yet. Been a user for about a month. Trying to verify height but app closes each time I try

Meh

Really nothing special. Rarely leads to an actual “match” and it takes a long time to find one.

$10 for a phone number is insane

This app seemed like a great idea at first—cut through the noise and just talk to someone for ten minutes to get a sense of their personality. But now the model for this very new app is that you have to pay $10 for one single match, and that just gets you a phone number. If the app developers think I’m paying $10 for a phone number, they’re delusional… deleting and telling friends not to download.

Response from developer

Thanks for your feedback. The cost of $6 - $10 is only if you and the other person both like each other after the video call. There is no cost to the video date itself.
