In game purchases locked in airplane mode
This is a long game, something you’d want to play on a plane ride to pass the time. I’ve spent more on this game than any app I have and it’s pretty rude and unprofessional to lock those purchases in airplane mode. I refuse to believe they need to constantly check whether I’ve made the purchases to keep them live on my app.

Great game but lacking basic features
This app is a fantastic way to play TM over and over with ease. It could be a 5 star game, were it to add two features that are standard in mobile board game adaptations these days in 2026.
Missing feature 1: no “undo” button. Almost all digital board game adaptations have one, but TM doesn’t. Play the wrong card or hit the wrong button? Too bad. This game can be crunchy, and the inability to redo an action can be frustrating at times.
Missing feature 2: you can only access your DLC if you are connected to the internet. Preludes and Venus Next are great, but if you’re playing this on an iPad and you’re on the road or in an airplane with no wifi, you are stuck playing the base game only. That is no good; other digital board game adaptations let you enjoy DLC without an internet connection (e.g., I can use all my DLC “Root” factions or “Dune Imperium” DLC regardless of internet), so it’s very frustrating that your TM DLC purchases are only sometimes available.

I truly love this game here and on Steam. Terraforming Mars works well as a mobile game.
Online play desyncs
Overall pretty fun, but some of the ui elements could use some work for clarity. Also, online play locks you at 30 minutes of play rather than an incremental “chess clock”, so builds with multiple actions are punished as you use up more time
This game used to be great, but now I can’t even start a private game
I can’t gather a private game, and the asynchronous pass and play timer expires much faster than 30 or 45 days, it expires sometimes within half a day, something is wrong and it would be great if someone could look into this.
Timer ruins experience
You all need to do something about the in game timer
It’s like a running clock, it takes time away from me when it’s my opponents turn.
Many games, my opponent and myself play at the same pace, yet somehow 15 minutes or more ticks off of my time that doesn’t come off my opponent’s time.
Why does my timer run off while the opponent is still on their turn?
Why does my timer burn off during production phases?
Why does my timer run off during draw phase but my opponent’s does not?
This awful timer and the constant game sync issues ruin this otherwise fun game

Awesome
Just like the board game spot on easy to play unlike other similar games
Great game needs help from the developers
Has some glitches. You have to go out of the game sometimes and come back in to get it to work. Wish my wife and I could play a private game online without the timer. Other than that, awesome!
Broken after Colonies release
The game continues to break even though it’s been months since the latest expansion was released. This is unacceptable.
No DLC offline
I don’t understand why if I purchased the game and the DLC(twice by the way on steam and iOS) it won’t let me play the DLC with out cell service or wi-fi even if I was just connected minuets ago.

I bought this app and its expansions to play with friends. Online just stopped working. No update or explanation from developer.
Great alternative to the board game
I like playing both. This is good for learning strategy and solo play.

Would be really cool if there were AI players in addition to real people when playing online. Other than that great game
Off line fails
Purchased multiple in game upgrades that are now no longer available unless I’m online. Stupid bug
Greenery
When you add your first Greenery tile without a city on the board, the game always automatically places it in the same place towards the south Pole of Mars.
This is really frustrating as it means all subsequent placements of greenery tiles need to be connected to the automatically placed one which is in a really sub-optimal position. Can this please be fixed.

Still playing 5 years later
Great digital version of the game. The AI is not that great, but the game is still entertaining me years later.
