About
Territory Tactics is a strategy game of conquest on real maps, and nobody waits for a turn. Each round, all players place their new troops together, then give their orders in secret, at the same time. Then the whole table watches every order play out on one board.
HOW A ROUND GOES
New troops arrive and you place them on your own land.
You give up to three orders: attack a neighbour, move an army through land you hold, or dig in to defend.
Each attack shows its chance to win before you commit. One roll decides the battle.
When everyone is ready, the orders are played one at a time, starting with the weakest player.
WHAT YOU PLAN AROUND
Terrain. Mountains defend better, forests cost the attacker more troops, and lowlands pay extra troops.
Regions. Hold a whole region and it pays a bonus, such as more troops, an extra order or stronger attacks.
Landmarks. Each one pays a troop every round and defends better. In two of the three ways to play, they decide the winner.
Augments. On set rounds everyone picks one of three powers and keeps it for the match. There are 52 of them in three tiers, and the player in last place is offered a fourth choice.
Crates and world events. Supply crates, uprisings, plagues and earthquakes are announced a round ahead, so you can plan for them.
THREE WAYS A MATCH CAN END
Total conquest: be the last side on the map.
Capture the cities: hold 5 landmarks for one full round.
12 rounds: capture the cities, or hold the most landmarks when round 12 ends.
THE MAPS
The Grand World: the whole world in 348 territories on six continents, for up to ten players. Hold a whole continent and it pays.
Europe, in 95 territories from Iceland to Persia, reaching into North Africa, the Middle East and the Caucasus.
Riga, in 81 territories drawn from real map data, with the Daugava, its islands and its bridges.
Istanbul, in 85 territories drawn from its real neighbourhoods, on both shores of the Bosphorus.
And the World, in 170 territories, in beta.
ALONE OR WITH FRIENDS
Play alone against bots. It needs no connection, and you can switch the clock off and think for as long as you like.
Or open a room and send its link or its five-letter code. Up to ten people can sit at the table on the world maps, and six on the others, and bots can fill the empty seats. Nobody needs an account to play: you type a name and sit down.
TEAMS AND SIGNALS
Every side for itself, or teams of any size: two against two, three against one, or anything else. During a round you can send the table fixed signals, offer a truce, or react to a battle. There is no free chat.
GREAT BATTLES
When two armies of 50 or more meet, the board cuts to the battle itself for a few seconds: the two armies face each other on that land's own ground, fire their volleys and fall as the battle decides. Skip it with a tap, or switch it off.
THE TABLE
The board is a table under a lamp, drawn in 3D. Armies are finely sculpted, painted miniatures, and their figures show the size of a force at a glance. An announcer calls out the moments that matter, and the music follows the round from planning to battle. The whole game, announcer included, is in English and in Turkish.
RANK AND LEADERBOARD
Every match earns points towards your rank and your achievements. Connect an Apple or Google account to keep your progress on all your devices and to appear on the leaderboard under a username you choose.
THE ARMOURY
Optional items, bought once and kept: soldier sets such as the Knights and the Armoured corps, emblems, rare colours, and War in the dark, which lets you host matches in Fog of war, where you see only the land beside your own, or in Full blind, where you also have to guess the size of other armies from their figures. The whole Armoury is also sold as one. Nothing that is sold makes anyone stronger. Buying needs a connected Apple or Google account, so that what you buy follows you to every device.
