Not usable at all

The app goes completely unresponsive, then moment you load Tesla Cam footage, I have to kill it by going to the “Activity Monitor”, why do Apple allow apps like this to be online in the first place?

A Solid Editor for Tesla Video

TesCam Studio has been excellent for editing my Tesla dashcam and Sentry footage. The Director Mode editor makes it genuinely easy and intuitive to put together polished, shareable video clips. Switching between all six camera angles on the timeline feels natural, the colored indicators show exactly what’s playing at any moment, and trimming, adding telemetry overlays, or creating quick hyperlapses is straightforward. Exporting a finished clip ready to share is fast and hassle-free—no clunky workarounds needed.

What really stands out is how responsive the developer is. They’ve been quick to engage with feedback and clearly care about improving the app based on what users actually want.

Highly recommended if you want a clean, powerful way to turn raw Tesla footage into something worth sharing.

Unusable

No longer able to upload video from camera roll (even though the option still exists in the app). Wasted money on an app I can’t even use anymore.

Response from developer

Hi Ben, Thanks for the feedback, and I’m sorry for the frustration. Tesla recently changed the way videos saved directly from the Tesla app work, and those clips no longer include the telemetry data TesCam Studio needs for full compatibility. The best-supported method is still connecting your Tesla USB drive directly, which provides all camera views at full quality along with the available telemetry data. We’re also about to release TesCam Hub, which allows wireless transfers from your Tesla without needing to remove the USB drive. If you’re interested, send us a message by email or on X using the links in the app, and we’d be happy to send you a $10 off discount code. Thanks again for trying TesCam Studio, and we’re always happy to help troubleshoot.

Must have Tesla Dashcam viewer and editor!

I was reluctant to pay for an app to view my dashcam footage. Most ways to view or share these videos outside of the in-car screen are tedious and difficult, but with many recommendations from friends on 𝕏 I decided to give it a try.

WOW!!!

Getting high quality video from the USB drive has never been easier! Even easier than viewing in the car! Details like being able to pick a video based on location make finding the right clip super easy. Having telemetry data available gives you so much more info than available elsewhere!

Having the clips grouped cleanly by event and templates to display exactly what you want just round out the entire experience!

If you want to save or share Tesla dashcam/sentry clips there is nothing even close! 10/10!

Buggy as can be

Never got an export out of it.

Response from developer

Hi Johnny, sorry you had a bad experience. I'd love to get in touch with you to figure out more about what happened. This is the first we've heard of anyone having an issue exporting. Shoot me an email at Arthur@TesCamStudio.com and I'll get this resolved ASAP.

Review update

All issues seem to be fixed, they have added a lot of new cool features also.

Response from developer

Thanks for the thoughtful review, and I’m glad you’re enjoying the app overall! Sorry to hear it’s feeling slow or freezing when working from a flash drive. Performance can vary depending on the drive speed, adapter/hub, and connection, and I’d love to help you narrow it down. A high-speed cable/adapter (and a faster USB drive) often makes a big difference. Also, I love the idea of being able to move/resize the video containers and drag layouts around. I’ve added it to my list for future updates. If you’re up for it, email Arthur@TesCamStudio.com (or DM @TesCamStudio on X) with your device model, iOS/macOS version, and what flash drive/adapter you’re using, and we’ll get this sorted.

Useful

Great app, makes it easy to view and edit TeslaCam videos on the go. Get a usb stick with C on one end and A on the other, or a simple converter cable.

Game Changer for Tesla Cam Videos

TesCam Studio is an absolute game-changer for any Tesla owner who wants to make their dashcam footage look professional and shareable. It's built by a Tesla owner who understands what is needed in this space. The standout feature for me is the telemetry overlays. You can pull real-time synchronized telemetry data and layer on customizable gauges for speed, steering angle, throttle, braking, acceleration, FSD usage, and more. There's even an interactive GPS map that traces your exact route. Multiple layout options means you can focus on the most important parts of your clip. Perfect for social media posts.

Very good

It’s pretty awesome in its functionality, however it’s a bit slow and clunky when using a flash drive, it also seems to freeze up a lot.

Something’s I wish that could be added would be the ability to move and resize the containers that hold the video or the ability to set the specific amount you want and drag them around.

Overall does exactly as described and I’m throughly impressed.

Awesome!

TesCam is one of the cleanest tools I’ve used for visualizing Tesla dashcam and FSD captures and quickly turning them into share ready clips. The workflow is super smooth, the UI is polished, and exporting videos for social media is fast and painless. Easily worth the one time fee. Highly recommend.

Hands down, the best!

This app is absolutely incredible. If you work with Tesla dashcam footage at all, this is a must have. The interface is clean, fast, and intuitive, and it turn raw Tesla clips into something that feels polished and powerful.

What really sets it apart is how thoughtful it’s built. It feels like it was made by someone who actually uses Tesla dashcam footage. Everything just makes sense. From importing, to changing the layouts and even the exporting options.

To top it off, the telemetry widgets are next level. Love that there’s different ones to choose from that can be placed anywhere on the screen to show your steering inputs, FSD usage, speed, acceleration and braking.

It’s rare to find an app that feels both powerful and simple at the same time, but this nails it. Developer is very responsive on X, and is constantly working on new features from inputs from the community.

Love!

Very easy to use and great quality of video in return! Will continue to keep using it! 😍

Response from developer

Thanks so much for the kind words. I’m really glad it’s been easy to use and that you’re happy with the export quality. If you ever have a feature requests, feel free to let us know!

Great TΞSLA dashcam management app!

Hope to get the macOS version soon. However, I encountered a little problem during use, such as it does not support AP status, only FSD. Additionally, after manually setting the Telemetry Status Bar position, the exported video's Telemetry Status Bar is offset a bit.

Response from developer

Really appreciate the review. macOS support is in the works and I’m excited to get it out (hopefully in the next couple days). Regarding telemetry: AP status support is actively being built. If you can email a short sample video that shows the AP case you’re seeing, it’ll help us test and ship it faster. And on the exported Telemetry Status Bar being slightly offset after you manually reposition it, we’ve identified the cause and a fix is coming in an upcoming update. Email: Arthur@TesCamStudio.com (include your device model + iOS version, and if possible your Tesla model/year).
